LM-17 Possible for Repeated Credit Card Decline?

I talked to a SE person. It's a ban. They get a lot of charge back stuff from people and lose apparently a lot of money so this is how they're stopping it. I don't know how my CC did a charge back. I really think they need a different fucking code so people don't shit themselves when they log on.

I got my accounts back and changed my shorts. Took a 5 min phone call but I still think it's fucking stupid.

Pretty much exactly my experience with this... except I was on hold for at least 20 minutes.
Really dumb, should have used like any other warning....made up a new one... or something.

At first I thought it was a bad April Fool's joke... then i checked my calendar and started to worry.

Got hit with the same garbage as everyone else. Why must they insta-ban people instead of giving warning like everyone has said, it seems rude to do that to PAYING customers.

SE IS STUPID AND F***ED UP again....

I woke up with the same LM-17 message and I was all panic 'coz I haven't done anything wrong!!!! I checked my e-mail and felt better 'coz they said it was the problem with charge back on my credit card even though I have never requested the charge back.

Called POL, told them it was my fault with my bank which I initially thought it really was... Offered to give them new credit card, they didn't seem to care and they simple got the ban reversed w/o saying anything much...

Then I called my bank after to make sure my card worked. And I was told it was working fine... no attempt to charge from Square Enix recently besides the one from earlier this month...no record of a chargeback request either...

So, I don't know what the deal is...but looks like their billing system was buggy.

Have to check if I can actually log on when I get home though.

friend in ls got hit this morn with this shit SE told him that they are randomly banning accounts to stop RMT if u call with your info that means you are not RMT.

i guess searching bastok mines and seeing the 60+ lvl1 accounts selling shit to the rse npc outside of MH is too hard and is easier to just randomly ban ppl... 60 lvl1 accounts with names like fadskhlf must be a good way to hide RMT activity....

am i the only one that actually miss the mass RMT army? remember 05? when shit was worth something? 17mil for royal cloaks can i have it? shouts in whitegate for sky/sea items that they sell...

Got hit by lm-17 on both of my accounts and my friend's account who is using my c.c.

My main account was banned 5:30 am est, friend 6:30, second account 6:45.

Called up this afternoon and they "unbanned" me; same c.c. chargeback reason even though I have used the same card for years.

When I called all they did was verify my information and said they were unbanning me. Seems like either they knew right away by looking at my account or they did something on a large scale this morning.

Funny you should say that, my other account linked to the same card wasnt touched. Saying that the account LM'd was a US account, and the one which was left was EU '';

Happened to a friend of mine last night. Bit scared now 'cause I use my CC on 2 other accounts, and my friends use those mules all the time. -_-;;

My second account also was not hit, but I may have put her on a different card last month, I can't remember. Still annoying.

They are so stupid, doing stuff like this. No one answered their webchat after several hours waiting, and then to stay on hold for 45 minutes on my phone, which doesn't have long distance, btw, feels like highway robbery. They really need to get a toll-free number.
