I believe it was some kind of magazine that said it.. so could be very well false information. I'll try to look up the source later.

Dude, it took 5 of you to kill Chaos Elemental. Clearly, you aren't losing much. If you can get your account back, that's good. But don't be too worried about losing 40 levels, rank 3, and a casting wand. That's a day's worth of work.
Good luck and welcome back, though.
~_~ i hate to side with him(as it sounds so harsh lol) but he has a good point. I lvled a mule i started to chat with friends from 1-15 in one day solo on whm. and this was me just screwing around. You also make light gil doing FoV its really nice for buying up spells early on lol.
also on a sorta side note, i lvled blm to 10 as well solo (mind you it was on server i had no gil or any help on just scrweing around)
I recently just helped a friend go from 1-75, two 37 subs + 50% done with every arc/story mission. Capped fame in all cities, good gear, etc. in less than 2 months (playing slowly 4-5hours a day max, taking day breaks with him etc.).
If you have people to help, you can start from scratch and be somewhere in no time. Without it, I'm not sure. But if you play casually, I don't see the issue.
It has generally be reported from multiple sources that SE will announce definite information on Rapture at E3 which is June 2-4, so just a couple of weeks.
I would highly doubt you will see the game before 2010 at the very, very best, and most likely 2011 or 2012.
It is not going to be based on Final Fantasy, but the genre has not been disclosed.
The genre will be MMORPG.
In a recent interview some time ago Tanaka said that they have not decided if it will be labeled Final Fantasy or something else.
I'm sure the progress of the game is far more advanced than they say in public, but as someone mentioned before, they are very good at keeping their projects wrapped.
We are almost 100% certainly talking about a server farm where the data is stored completely separately from the servers. It's not like your computer where you run low on hard drive space and it affects your virtual memory.
Even if they really wanted to remove the account to "keep it clean" they could still archive it off somewhere without deleting it.
and that is just what they do. This is why you have "return home"
Never once did i say they click on your account and away it goes never to be seen. They take it of their servers and move it to a NONE live server is my guess.
as for the new MMO se is making Cool on the E3 thing. Iv said it before i plan to try it out. On a note i do not think SE ever said it wont be FF style, just that people got the wrong idea from the video they made.
the video used FFXI as a style(jeuno i think) so the idea was sent out that it was a FFXI 2, SE said fast that it was just to show it off. they did not say "there is no way in hell its not FF type of game". anyways we are sorta getting off topic for a standard discussion ~_~

"Character Revival Service" has just been launched. This is a new, permanent replacement for Return Home to Vana'diel. Unlike Return Home, CRS never ends so you can bring back your character at any time.
