Fuck I wish I could shave once a week, hell after i get home from work and plan on doing something formal I need to shave again.
Also, remembering from when I tried an electric razor, it might be ingrown hairs some of the time, maybe it was just me but that fucker did more ripping out than cutting, so pissed to, I payed 120$ for that fucking thing.
I do use the mach 3 of on my face and chin, but if i used it on my upper lip it would have horrid razor burn. thats why i use an electric razor there, it is easier on the skin I feel.
Tribe is king. I saw them last summer at Rock the Bells. Needless to say, I was going absolutely crazy in my drunken/high stupor.
Fuck shaving with any kind of razors. I get bumps of hell. Shaving is the only thing that sucks about being black.
It's worse than being guilty until proven innocent?
See that never happens to me and I shave about once a week or so.And yes my hair on my beard if it grows is nappy and itchy as hell, much like a brillo-pad or a steel wool. I shave it and be done and problem solved, I'm baby butt soft the next morning.
lol well played sir.
I fucking hate shaving with a passion but forced to do so daily because of the military. I'm scruffy by the afternoon and I get razor bumps rather easily. I adjusted by just using clippers, not as close of a shave obviously but a lot less irritating. All that bumps-be-gone bullshit is a waste of money.
I blame my black-ass Dominican pops...
lol
Always wash your face with warm water before shaving (or do it after a warm shower). Brushing on your shaving cream helps too, since it makes the hairs stand up. Shave with the grain, put on more shaving cream, shave across the grain, put on more shaving cream, shave against the grain (very lightly, blade should barely touch your face). Then rinse and use aftershave.
Also, I find those sticks (stiptic? I think they're called) very handy to have in case you do cut yourself. But the most important part is to take your time, it's not a race.
I have tried every trick in the damn book. Nothing works. I get a face that looks like bubble wrap whenever I shave with a razor. Heck I even tried that bump fighter bullshit. Clippers onry around these parts. My father used to use magic, but that smell and the after-effects on your skin are enough of a turn off.
I can shave in the morning and have a beard the next morning, so i usually just go with it, but when i DO decide to shave first i wash my face, then i soak it, then i take my GF's Bumble and Bumble conditioner <like 60$ a bottle> and i condition my beard wit it, after it has time to work i lather up, put on a new blade on my GF's razor, its the femme version of a shick quattro, and go to town, the B+B is the trick, no razor burn, that stoff is amazing.
I've tried a wide range of products- and while I liked Nivea's line of balms & what not, I've never had anything work as well as Tend Skin.
Tend Skin - Before & After Photos
I have sensative skin & not a thick beard- so I don't have to shave everyday, but if I go longer than 3 or so, I end up with more bumps/burns, but the tend skin is great to prevent it.
