    Virus/Spyware Problem

My father's pc been having a lot of problems as of late. for example, if he clicks on one shortcut on the desktop, it'll start up another. If he wants to scroll through a page, the page will keep glitching from top to bottom (it'll always end up on the bottom as if someone is forcing it). I thought maybe it was his mouse being retarded, but he said he has tried to change it already. Was wondering if you guys know what's wrong with it and know any programs that'll get rid of it.

Sorry if the description sucked. Thanks in advance

Doesn't sound like a virus, but try running some scans with AVG/malwarebytes/Combofix (all free programs) and see if they come up with anything.

Sounds like the registry is screwed and you'd be wise to back his files up asap, then do a format.

I used the programs in the sticky right after posting this (sorry, didn't see it beforehand) and his pc seems to be fine now. Thanks for the help :D

Actually all I ran was spybot and his pc went back to normal after deleting all that shit

You should still run all the other ones just to be on the safe side. Superantispyware is another good one. It has a pretty nifty feature that prevents your home page from being changed without your permission, which is a common tactic of those who make malware. They'll have a script that opens a page up in IE that runs a bunch of flash and javascript crap which will usually bury you pretty good.
