Asking someone not to claim mobs you plan to kill, is like asking someone to not claim your HNM. No one gets banned for monopolizing a NM, or as Cair said, SMN burning. It's only griefing because other people didn't think of it or have the resources to carry it out. I agree that it's hardly any different from camping on top of someone in a merit party and out pulling them. If you could get jailed for that... I'd have been banned years ago.

CocaCola Tunnel is one thing since not many parties go there, and even then they kill the worms. Farmers usually farm Slimes and Gigas which slimes remain untouched and usually 1 gigas is pulled for cfh mob.

Qufim always has parties on crabs, pugils and gigas which I assume are the mobs you're pulling.

Greater Colibri are basically suited on only ONE type of party. Korroloka is just plain not used at all, and the fact that SMN burns are popular is probably something SE is happy about, moving in to unused zones. But Qufim is obviously a popular spot, and has been forever, and monopolizing pulls there could be sucky.

A ban though? Strongly doubt it. Seems kind of silly that SE would openly say that SMN burns in Korroloka are perfectly legit, but doing mostly the same in Qufim isn't.

If you did get banned, I'm thinking there may be something else to this that you are excluding.

With fields of valor your actions are more noticeable in Qufim, I think that is a cawk move to exp in that fashion in Qufim should've chose a different place for experience points either way I agree with Sonoma in that they need more places to exp, or atleast more ways to reliably exp. This is unfortunate they could have at least given you a scolding, warning, even temp ban that seems very excessive.

There's more to the story, god knows how many GMs are called in Korroloka every day and I've never heard of anyone getting real consequences from that.

This is precisely the reason why I do not use Korroloka for my flowburns, and I refuse to go to Korroloka when other people tell me how great it is there. Too much drama in Korroloka. Leave me my nice quiet places where no one goes because the mobs aren't worth killing to normal people and the other mobs don't drop anything for "farmers".

Stay away from other people when you do flowburns and you won't get GM complaints against you. 'nuff said.

Yeah, if I ever did astral burn (always wanted to try) I would go to a very isolated zone to do it in... Currently I just do the bard plvl method, got my second char from lv1 to 19 blm very quickly with FoV...

at the lake (worms & crabs).
north hall/path (pugil/crab).
or beastmen banner path (worms).

But whatever, I appreciate those that go to terrigan/etc. areas for soloing FoV. Just because people are taking advantage of open areas to AVOID parties/group which not only benefit them, but the parties in the other areas at low levels.

The downside of Terrigan is the beach is like a fucking Aery for Raptors, course, anyone who's actively camped Aspid knows you can go just north of the beach into the Cockatrice tunnel/near the north route to VoS drop, pull those raptors, and fight in the little ledge/nook thing.

Korroloka is just plain not used at all.

Seems to depend on the server. It's pretty popular on Garuda with a bunch of good camping spots for parties from 15-20ish.

One feature of FoV is that it is directing people to places they might not have gone before. Zi'Tah used to be nice and quiet. The 1100 XP bonus has made it very popular.
