Connection problems with Comcast? (5/21)

I was randomly R0ing while I was in combat while exping this morning. Then after about 20 minutes of R0ing and coming back, it finally just died. Everything else on the internet is working...except for FFXI. I hate Comcast (Houston). Bah. Anyone else having this problem today?

lol, same here. i finally got on after retrying to connect 10 times, got online for about 5 minutes, and r0'd. now i can't log back in.

Same story here, had scattered R0's when breaking a trial weapon then it all died as I zoned into town. Comcast - Massachusetts.

I got the 4001 no response from server and 3100 cannot connect to lobby errors. Comcast is working internet wise obviously. POL has a SEAMS account issue recovery notice up also. I'm irritated because I was trying to hq an item and kept dropping connection down to zero.

I finally decided to stop risking it and logged into do muling then my mule finally went all the way out after red dotting for a long time. One try reconnecting then I decided to wait until I heard some better results from my husband since he got in ok on his system first try. Gonna give it a try since hes staying in ok.

He speculates its comcast packet tampering/shaping and mistaking the game traffic for torrents but I could be completely writing it down wrong since I an not a guru with computers so no guarantees since its not verified. I'll post up if I can stay in the game.

Yeah, been having the same problems for a couple weeks, though nothing as severe as completely dropping out and unable to reconnect. Randomly R0'ing in lag-free places (Inside my MH!?, come on Comcrap) and dropping calls on Skype with LSmates. Comcast - West Michigan.

If it is Comcast's fault, call 'em up and bitch at them. If they get enough complaints from people all over the country, they *might* actually consider changing...... Pfft yeah, right.

Late to the party here but yeah, same thing. R0'd while 2boxing and both my laptop and desktops internet was fine but FFXI was a no go. After about 10 minutes I could get back on though and no problems.

I see these threads pop up about Comcast more times than one should, and honestly, I feel sorry for you people. I remember when I was on Comcast, I hated them. Although, my current ISP is no better it seems...

I just switched from Verizon FIOS. The actual service wasn't bad, but damn I hate that battery back up they force you to have. The install tech guy put it in the middle of a wall. And their customer service is downright horrid, at least in my experience.

edit: called and bitched. they said they are coming to replace our modem on saturday.
