PS2 'Must Play' Titles

I don't know if I can do it but I will try to play the ones people mentioned multiple times such as Suikoden V and Okami. Man, I didn't think I'd get a wall-o-games, have no idea how I'm even going to find the time to play the 7 or so I have planned now much less the 50 #s posted, haha.

I'd also add Madden 2005: Collectors Edition because it contains the greatest Madden of all time, Madden `93. Also, Warriors Orochi 2 is a fun button masher.

Looking at that wall o games image with Phantom Brave & Disgaea reminded me of another RPG, La Pucelle Tactics. I never played that one. For those of you that did, was it good? Worth buying?

I like playing it was alota fun. Could i go back it play it now idk. I tried and i just couldn't get back into. But i remember spending a shit ton of time playing.

Fucking bookmarked for future reference. I wish I could add to this, but pretty much all the games I would have recommended have been noted.

I was kind of surprised to see War of the Monsters on there. I actually have that game and thought it to be ok. It was an interesting "fighter" game with a lot of world interaction (destroying skyscrapers and using the remains as weapons, you get the idea).

Gran Turismo 3 should be on the list for racing games. Definitely a huge leap forward from the first two. I haven't played 4, but I heard it wasn't as good as 3. I never looked into it since I got sucked into FFXI after I was done with GT3 so I could be wrong.

You can't really go wrong with anything on Ps2. If anything, you should get a list of games you shouldn't play. Shorter list and easier to remember.

Most of what I would've suggested has already been mentioned, but I'll second R.A.D/Robot Alchemical Drive, which popped up on that hueg collage. It's a bit hard to find nowadays, but pretty damned entertaining, and probably the only non-RPG featuring giant robots that I've enjoyed. The control scheme gives you independent control of each limb of your mech, takes a bit of getting used to but it's quite fun once you get the hang of it. The horrible engrish voice-overs are a nice touch too, even if they weren't deliberate.

Also, I'm pretty sure that was the last game Enix released in the US pre-merger, if you care about that sort of thing.

Yes, it's basicaly the same mold as a devil may cry or onimusha, you upgrade your powers and weapons, and most of the bosses are alot of fun. Their some of the best looking PS2 games as well, perfect seamless control. Not to mention a fantastic story.

It was amazing for a hack/slash game. The story was pretty epic as well (especially the end of GoW1 imo). I don't know what it is, but the relentless mutilation of beasts and corpses gets my adrenals soaked.

GoW series was pretty good, I enjoyed the second a lot more though, probably because I was craving something to fill the void after finishing DMC3SE. The first God of War just kinda irritated me, the combat system was good and all, but the platforming/puzzle aspect felt kinda forced and really just got in the way of the enjoyable portions of the game. GoW2 remedied that in a major way.
