ah, iirc you do a lot of support work for the grad students?

I kinda wish I had better, more inspiring science teachers who didn't just say ok here's the materials now do the experiment
a seemingly simple experiemnt to demonstrate wave properties in water (or at all) went completely awry and I had no idea what I was looking for, what I was seeing, and despite all this I was pretty sure it didn't do what it was supposed to
I went in to the course wanting to be able to determine speed/velocity at the point of take off on a skate board ramp and determine angle and projected distance etc but apparently that's beyond grade 10 physics
also, (semi unrelated) I always envied the characters in Salinger's books, with all their knowledge of greek philosophers, mythical figures, ptolemaic this and that etc. I think if smart were sexy for me, then it would be that kind of smart that would be sexy
Even for somebody who as huge of a science nerd as myself, I find knowledge of poetry and literature much more sexy than knowledge of natural sciences.
As an aside, I never really understood literature degrees. I'm much more well-read than the vast majority of people in those programs or with those degrees, and I do it all in my free time.
Also, we use protein shakes because it's easier to get a good solution.
Thread has my approval.
