The third panel about PBR gave me a good chuckle. While there are PBR-drinking hipsters around where I live, I've seen more and more of my friends (myself included) switching away from more expensive local micro-brewed or import beer and showing up to parties with Lucky Lager - forever known to BC's youth as the ghettoiest beer you can buy. Doesn't really taste like anything, but it's got alcohol in it and the 8-can pack has a convenient handle for camping and fishing trips.

Why is there lightning? Just a coincidence the weather happened to be stormy, or do the smoke/debris clouds of eruptions tend to rub together and generate electricity of their own?

I recall seeing an explanation somewhere- it is the eruption causing it. Something about all the ash having some degree of static charge.
