The next film will most likely focus on time travel again. Connor going to the 'past' to prevent Judgement Day has come up along with the possibility of a massive present day invasion of HKs etc. (Maybe they'll fix the 'field' or whatever. lol)

And time travel in the next movie seems stupid.. the time difference between movie/real time is 9 years and I thought it was established already that no matter what John does Judgement Day will still happen.

Small necro bump: Just saw this finally and I honestly don't see why people are hating on it. It's no T2 (can never have an equal movie to that) but it was light years better than T3 (which wasn't terrible, I've seen worse....) I thought it was well written, and had a good supporting cast, and I am eager to see another one with background into Marcus, and more along in the future to where they get to the traveling time aspect of the series.
I decided to go watch this in theaters just to give it a second chance from a CAM....
Fuck, I want my money back...
The TV show absolutely shit all over this movie.
Hmm

Christian Bale killed this movie more than anything for me. The heart transplant thing at the end was meh, something I can let slide. Still think it was good overall.

Just saw it. Nowhere near as bad as a few are making it out to be in this thread. There will never be a Terminator movie thats > T2 so why bother expecting one? I do think Bale's presence threatened the movie but the Marcus character pretty much threw him on his shoulders.
And why is anyone even debating stupid shit like the heart transplant? I would have thought people would "wtf!?" more at Bale's bullshit dive entrance into Command at the beginning of the movie. Pretty much set the standard right from the get-go on what to expect for the next 2 hours.
