The show is watchable, but nothing special so I'm not worried if I miss an episode. Also, not sure if its been said, but the old priest has to be a sleeper.

Lost is awful, and I think this is slightly better but still on the same level of shitty tv - as an above poster said I'm also realllllly picky about tv shows, I really only watch like 2 shows consistently... I'd rather watch a Law and Order repeat thave ive seen 4 times then either of these shows =/

I have a right to my opinion, and it doesn't make my point mute. If you're into a show with some crazy random space time warpage then thats fine, I'm just not. V seemed to have more of a chance with me, the writers didn't seem to just toss in random shit cause they couldn't remember where they were going with it, but there is a lot of loopholes and "are you serious" in V that I just can't put up with.

Yet at the same time, I love white collar (tons of holes) and House, even though I'm in the medical field and House makes a mockery of it. I can put up with some things, but Lost and V I just can't even if I'm really trying... the 2nd episode of V was actually pretty boring to me too, seemed so slow, which I don't see how a 2nd episode of a show could be if they are trying to hook you.

Almost everything in Lost is connected and relevant to the story with very few exceptions.

Just watched V Ep 1 and 2. Was pretty good but certain characters just need to go(her son and his friend). The CGI was well above average for TV. Most shows, even those with big budgets, tend to have terrible effects just due to the time restraints. I doubt they'll be at that level for the whole series though. As viewers drop off so will the effects budget.

Time travel in any show is a bad idea but I think the way Lost did it makes as much sense as possible("when you travel through time, you don't create a new timeline, you just visit other points on the same, immutable timeline"). Thinking about it can give you a headache unless you draw some diagrams but it still works itself out. I just don't like when people say stuff is randomly thrown into the story. I'm sure some little things were changed due to viewer responses but the "big picture" has always been the same(imo). Lost has it's own thread though

Let's make it simple for your kind, Lost is for people who enjoy puzzles and coherent story. People who were getting a thrill out of shaking trees, monster and weird dying message all left 5 season ago.

What the fuck is this....I don't even know where to start. I think you're confusing what you want Lost to be (to hate it), and what it is.

Details like this aren't important to the plot, it's how everything can hold itself together in the end.

We won't be able to say if they screwed up or not until next season, but until now, they managed to keep the plothole to a minimum.

Beside, the whole show has been about "free will" vs "destiny". The time traveling aspect in a paradox free world exists to strengthen this aspect.

Sorry for getting into a Lost debate, I was just trying to compare my distaste for it to what I'm starting to see in V. Most of my Lost hatred has nothing to do with the show itself, it stems from being forced to watch it while at my ex's house.

This week was really boring and slow like I said, which is not what I'd expect from a brand new show that wants to keep viewers. Uninteresting cast, emo kids that I want killed off sooner, etc... the acceptance that's given to the V so quickly... the clapping at Anna when she first spoke above the city was really annoying for me for whatever reason. There was nothing to fucking clap at lol.
