Sigh isn't a terrible story, but it's really just the making of the school festival movie. It does explain some of the weird shit that happens in the movie (weird even for this show) that they never tried to explain before (because it was explained here!). But quite honestly, I think Disappearance is where the series really hit its stride. Snowy Mountain Syndrome is a particularly excellent short story, too. Very happy to see it on this list.

It's going under the assumption that they're showing Haruhi in chronological order, right? If so, I'd believe it. While the jumping around worked for season 1, I think putting order into things for this season is a good move.

If season 2 goes like is shown above, how much is left for a season 3? Or will season 2 cover just about all the source material left?

Volume 10 has been a vaporware for almost 2 years now though.

Might even be possible that'd be the last book of the series at this rate.

it's more that there's no way to know how many episodes each segment is going to be. like, they could stretch sigh or disappearance out to more episodes and not have some of the later stuff (which would be lame)
