Nah, the S1 director said that KyoAnim had been planning this for S2 since a year ago, lol.

Let it be known that on the 6th of August, 2009, Endless Eight came to an end.
In other news, there was a nice Darker than Black 2 commercial today, and I’m pretty excited about it for October
Praise the heavens
I was about to make a FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU comic this week for Haruhi, too. Oh well.
Yay, I can maybe start watching it again.
Still can't believe they wasted 9 of their episodes this season for that. =/
Finally, Endless Bullshit is over! Now I can get back to...not watching or caring. :/ Honestly, the opening is about the only good thing, but I suppose seeing the same episode, somewhat, every week was just horrible.
No chance of dissapearance on this season, I don't even give a damn anymore.
To hell with the rest of the season, enjoy the shit movie recording faggotry.
Falcon bump.
I havn't seen new episodes out for a while. Is that the end of season 2?
I'm completely confused by the numbering system fansub groups are using. Last S2 ep I've seen is '24' which is the 14th new ep.
Yes Season 2 has endedI havn't seen new episodes out for a while. Is that the end of season 2?
If your going by JP numbering system it's EP24 and Fansub system it's 14 so your right but here for who wants to download series.I'm completely confused by the numbering system fansub groups are using. Last S2 ep I've seen is '24' which is the 14th new ep.
Here JP and Fansub numbering system for Season 2
Suzumiya Haruhi EP 8 *Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody* (English EP1)
Suzumiya Haruhi EP12-19 Endless Eight (English EP2-9)
Suzumiya Haruhi EP 20-24 The Sighs of Suzumiya Haruhi (English EP 10-14)
No season 3 for another 2-3 years cause Kyoto marketing fuck ups and to fire Yutaka Yamamoto the person who responsible for Haruhi success
I can also confirm that Episode 14 is the end. I downloaded episodes 6~14 last night and just watched them all. I'm baffled that they wasted 9 episodes on that crap known as Endless Eight as well.
Overall I'm just really disappointed in Season 2. The art and story are just all around terrible this time around. The audio is really good though so that's at least worth something.
The whole DEAL, originally, with season 2 was that it was supposed to cover Disappearance, one of the best stories from the light novels. The first marketting we ever got for Season 2 (granted, like 3 years ago) was based on Disappearance. There's some really good character development, and the story is entertaining. Endless Eight wasn't very interesting when it was a one-off, but neither is Sigh (making the movie) - though I am glad we got Sigh, because Kyon going "HULK SMASH PUNY TSUNDERE" was a great cinematic moment.
The franchise has been handled very poorly, and I still suspect it's some kind of sick social experiment to see how far you can fuck with fans and still turn a profit. Book 10 should have been out two years ago (light novels are NOT LONG) at worst, so it's not just the anime. Book 9 was weird as shit to begin with, ending it on a cliffhanger then spending 5 years not writing the next book was retarded (the author just recently said something about starting it). Oh well, it was fun. If another books comes out and it's fun, I'll read it. If another season comes out and it's tolerably watchable, I'll watch it. Shit, not like any of us PAY for it.
Sadly I have to agree. I've been wondering what happened to the newest book, sucks that he just started.
Speaking of Kyoto Animation series that have good light novels that take for ever to release:
Where is my next Full Metal Panic! novel? -.-;;
Seriously I was pissed when Full Metal got put on hold for stuff like Clannad... not so much Haruhi though cause I loved it. After 3 episodes of Endless Eight I was punching a pillow in my room screaming "They cut new animated adventures of Sousuke for THIS!?!?"
been discussed to death that Kyoto waiting on Final novel of FMA and people who made company either left to do their own thing or got fired, FMP is probably the last mature series Kyoto will ever produce since they don't care for it anymore since Moe and cuteness is what really sells for them (can't really blame them it's a business after all).
Can anyone give me a good reason why Kyoto fired Yutaka Yamamoto? He was not only with Kyoto from the start but he made first season of Haruhi such a success (Story, Ending theme and character wise) and Lucky star Opening theme. Yutaka Yamamoto really cares for the material and I feel losing him is what cause Haruhi season 2 to be such a failure compared to season 1.
PS forgot to mention Kannagi (Eri Takenashi get well soon in a year we need another season)
