Lost access to drive?
Long story short I had lost my linux partition completely. I had tried to edit my MBR back to the windows partition so I could boot into windows and fix my problem from there. I booted in linux and used the one thing everyone that had the same problem I had recommended named ms-sys which restores a MBR to a partition of your choice. The problem was that I think I had done something wrong (Obviously I did..) I actually don't know if this caused my problem but shortly after doing that (Restarting and reinstalling linux on another partition) I lost complete access to my windows partition.

Its a NTSF partition but in fdisk its showing up as a FAT16

If I try to mount it I get this message:

I don't care if the partition is bootable but I absolutly need some files off this partition so fdisking right now isn't an option. After I get those files, yea. But I need to get access back to this.
Any ideas wtf is going on?

I was able to make the drive mountable but its still showing up as FAT16 despite having a NTFS boot signature.
If I check the make up of the files in testdisk it shows up correctly but mounting the drive shows only a couple files.
Argh, this is such a pain in the ass.
