    Virus scanner picking false trojan in blinkmenot

    Anyone have a scanner thinking blinkmenot is a trojan?

    I think the better question is, what scanner are you using that is picking up a trojan, and where did you download your version of blinkmenot from? If you say anything other then Windower.net then just ignore my first question and re-download from windower.net.

    Windower and its plugins all have a very virus-like behavior, in that they hook into other things running on the system. That software isn't one of the normal ones (McAfee/Symantec/AVG/Avast) so that's why you aren't seeing many people with the same issue.

    If you are getting your files straight from the source, then you're fine. It's a false positive.

    Yup if you are getting your plugins from windower.net you have nothing to worry about...

    except for that pesky Aikar feller, hes trouble.

    BitDefender basically has the highest false-positive rate of any major antivirus program. They're very aggressive with their heuristics scanning, which is great for detecting unknown viruses, but will also flag just about anything that's even remotely similar unless there's an exception for it in the defs.
