    I think they just marketing it that he won the whole thing. The money is pooled, i bet others won 2nd price.

    First of all the state taxing lottery winnings is IMO among the most ridiculous tax laws out there. You pay the state to gamble, the state makes money. And if you win...PSYCH, you don't get as much as we told ya!

    Back on topic, I've worked at Chilis for the better part of 9 years (yeah I'll get a real job eventually...but I make a good amount of cash workin part time here), so when I "call off" it's usually just me putting my phone on silent and claiming I didn't know I had work. I don't do it very often, and plus I've been there longer than 3/4 managers, so I can get away with basically anything.

    And if I won 2.5 mil I would most likely buy a modest house/car, pay off my bills, and then just take a loooooonnnnnnnnngggg vacation and blow most of it. It's not like I worked to actually earn it so I wouldn't try to stretch it out in a career. Dumb, maybe, but I have a degree and would be debt free, so it would all be profit after the lotto winnings run dry.
