Your linkshell told your friend to scare it in /l before the other linkshell claims and he probably said he did. GMs may not be able to tell motives, but they can and will check all forms of chat near anything like that for anything hinting one way or the other.. if you have to be a douche and scare it, say something like "Fuck, I went too close and it ran off" in linkshell chat.

Yeah, GMs saying wrong information really isn't anything new, but it does make you laugh reading it. I've just grown numb to the whole thing and expect nothing but fail when and if I ever need to contact one.
