considering in the course of 4 months I burned 5 360's and I've only used it for Fable 2, GeoW and FFXI, and I play more hardcore on my PS3 and I've had it for over a year and a half now ... Fuck the 360 seriously I don't care lol

I don't get it.. where is the indication that this is FFXI for the PS3. From the chopped off text on the left it seems to just be a FFXI 7 Year Anniversary special. Also, the font for the title looks like a Dengeki Playstation magazine, not Famitsu. Can someone link the thread?

There is a picture of the table of contents listing all games within the Famitsu issue and Final Fantasy XI isn't on it.

I think someone saw "PS3 - FFXI" in Famitsu and then saw the Dengeki cover featuring FFXI and assumed it must be some huge news.

It's the Game Index, which lists all the games that are featured in the magazine. The poster circled "NEXT" because everyone's wetting themselves over Metal Gear Solid info, and the newest installment is being referred to as KOJIMA PRODUCTION "NEXT". However, what he circled has nothing to do with it and is just a new baseball game for the Wii... so now a bunch of people go "omg MGS Wii?" and I guess this is how these wild rumors start.

Anyway, scanning through the index I see no listing for Final Fantasy XI under PS2, PS3 or even PC.

The visible text of the Dengeki cover indicates that for the 7-year anniversary they are including special guides including optimal camping grounds, maps, etc.

I'll be picking up these magazines like I always do, so I'll let you know if there is any new info. From the thread and the pictures, however, there is nothing to indicate a PS3 port.

Dug through some Japanese forums and blogs... there is evidence that the new Dengeki will contain a developer interview in which they indicate the possible future release of FFXI for the PS3.

No scans yet... everyone's focusing on the Nomura/FFXIII interview.

i was looking at the cover and was like 'where does it say PS3 on it anywhere'..
if anything i'm sure the possibility has always been there but if its still not an announcement someone might wanna change the thread title cos its really misleading
