My point exactly. And yet, while botting is looked at as a rephrehensible crime by the BG community, a thread dedicated to ApRadar is allowed to exist on the forums. In all honesty, I don't feel that it should necessarily NOT be allowed to exist here. Part of the reason why I love this site is the fact that it isn't a premier site, and discussions delve into issues that would be avoided on the other sites. It just angers me to know that people are using this program to spam Antlion's and make a shitload of money in the game, and a thread dedicated to ApRadar serves, at least partly, as an advertisement for the program to other players.
I'd consider fillmode to be equivalent to dat modding your chigoes or leeches or whatever. Cheating in the puritan sense, but relatively harmless.
I love Apradar, so helpful when im doing things and i dont wanna open up my map, yes im lazy and yes FFXI should by default have a fucking real time map in it. Also Tagus i used to play on 360 but i got bored of not being able to watch TV while LFPing for 2 hours.
This version crosses the line for me - tbh I expect to see people getting the banhammer if they get caught using it.
A paid app that identifies placeholders and even lol lamp order? GM sees you with that, it's LM-17 time for sure.
god get over it.
pro has cool stuff but whatever use the free one.
As for if windower is cheating or apradr3
pro for apradar is a little close to the line(if not over) as is spellcast and fillmode.
all the edits are on your side and do not send shit to the servers, no way for GMs to tell. Nothing you cant do at all if you really wished to with editing .dats.
They can legally send any game .dats they want to whoever they want as a function of the client program, they don't even need to alert you that they're doing it. If someone in upper management decided to check key dats(blue bloodsucker, zone dats for zhayolm remnants/nyzul, antlion, etc) it could be implemented easily and legally. It's not super likely that anything like that would happen, but it's far from 'no way for GMs to tell'.
It may not be "cheating", but its the closest thing to that.
Spellcast is cheating! You have an advantage by not having to use FFXI's shitty macro system. Everyone should have to flip through macro books 3 times to equip your gear for a WS and go back to idle gear!
12 MACRO BOOKS.
6 MACRO LINES.
MANUAL EXECUTION.
FINAL DESTINATION.
I use akirs spellcast, and edited to add even more mobs.
the thing without any time at looking at what mob, can cast in the best gear i have. Its a cheat i face that fact, i use it, i am fine with that
SE should make better macros. But a system like spellcast should not be in the game if you ask me.
also the sleep timer (and much much more you can do yourself btw) is game changing in itself. You know the sec to start recasting sleep so the mobs never move.
Look i love it. But its close to the line as is fillmode and apradar3
games starting ~_~ cant fight right now. Might answer later.(just started like 30min though darn rain delay ; ; )
You can get a pretty big leg up over other people camping NMs with it. For example, back when I was camping o. kotes, I could wait in the middle of the room, and just wait for mee deggi to show up in apradar, than run directly towards him whenever/wherever he spawns, even if I wouldn't be able to see him from where I was. Other campers can only see like 1/3-1/2 the room at once, and obviously have to manually look for him. It would be hard to argue using it like that isn't 'cheating'.
No.
And widescan has a lag-time on it before shit shows up, not to mention there's the obvious time spent constantly opening the map and loading/checking the list. For an NM like mee deggi, someone exclusively using widescan would have no chance vs. someone intently watching apradar.
so where do you actually dl this now? i have v2 and it won't update just says "waiting..."
looked on apnea's site and can't find and updated version. i'd like to see some things with AA
type in google apradar forums should find it i downloaded and paid for pro it was really cheap....
