He just posted a video with some marine gameplay if anyone is interested in what its like on that team. Admittedly the aliens still decimate the marines at the end of the video, but before that you can see what decent marine play can look like.

Fades were a pain to deal with in NS1, even more of a pain in NS2. And FUUU to focus fades!

The game is looking really good. I used to play the original mod pretty constantly, so I'm really excited to try this out.
