Exploring dif. servers(advise/suggestions?)

I wasn't really sure where to categorize this, I was ready to place it in Media but Standard seemed like another safe bet.

Anyways, in my forum lurking, irc chatting, and general social embrace of the FFXI Community all around, I decided to take a little bit of a break from my daily grind and once again hop around the servers with some mules. If this seems ridiculous to you, you might want to skip the rest of this post-wall.

Excluding Bahamut & Odin due to their lockdown, I'm looking for suggested servers to visit, and what to expect going in, I've already visited: Quetzacoatl, Garuda, Fairy, and currently Unicorn. An old forum I visited met-up together once on a single server and hung out in a linkshell for about a week, and playing together was a little revitalizing away from my daily grind, kind of a re-educating about how the game feels from a stranded/restarted perspective without dipping into my main as a back-up.

As for the reasoning, I tend to have narrowed and worn out the fresh feeling of the game, gotten to know everyone that I pretty much could on Asura, as much as I love the community there, and have no desire to transfer, I still enjoy playing with other friends on occasion.

I have a couple more places in mind(Remora,Fenrir,Lakshmi,Sylphilus,and Midgardsormr), but I'm open to suggestion, as ridiculous as this might sound for some people, I'll likely be screening and writing up my summaries to some form of blogging simply for each visitation.

Anyone looking to tote around a level 1-30 for a week or a month I'm willing to hang with, obviously knowing the players is going to take a higher priority, but there's alot of servers to cover, (I'm only using 2 Content IDs for the spread).

For the most part, I'll pick a Galka on this, though might pick taru or something in between for variety.

But I'm already on Unicorn! Coincidenty, while on Unicorn I leveled in North Gustaberg on the mountain and had the idea it was Candy Mountain stuck in my head the entire time.

Fenrir is relatively Ballista heavy from my memory, Asura isn't so horrible at keeping matches still but they're nothing of grandeur.

I believe it was Siren or Cait sith that was good at besieged, and of course,t he servers who don't suck at campaign are the servers with a fuck ton of people that are potentially locked, anyways, I don't plan on hitting 75 on all these characters, obviously there are too many servers to pull that off on.

I'll visit Klain on Phoenix, mostly because that fucker can't decide on a server either and has been on my friends list since our old forum-group LS formed on Garuda for a week or two!

Asura; My starter server, and pretty much my home base as well, I know too many of you, and the whole place is a cluster of memories for me, probably why I won't transfer, I love the dynamis community on the server as well, though a lot of people got banned as well.

Quetzacoatl; despite being a rather quiet server overall, hiding out on their qcdn board out of the rest of our sight, there is actually some relatively famous internet folks, unknown to much of the internet, a good pocket of 4chan's draw-whores are in a small link shell here together, the older ones at least, they were pretty fun to hang out with, laid back, and such.

Garuda; Jasinde, Woot, Euriko, Minimaru(Gtfo Remora!), was alright, when I was there, a portion of folks from Killingifrit & Adventures of Tonka Forum were together in an LS, this was sometime 2006 I think, off memory, Mameshiba had a linkshell with Camui & Dragonhope, Balmarog & Tonka from sigging/webcomic fame, and a bunch of our other forum lurkers were here. The auction house sucked, but luckily I had people to craft for me from these friends linkshells when I needed armor, I quit and gave my gil off to a friend.

Unicorn; Auction house is actually pretty nicely stocked here, I'm only level 16 still, but it's been a day, the only server set back is that the only person I know on it at the moment is Falisa, which is traumatic when I need my subjob items and people are busy in salvage.

Fenrir's pretty boring, you're honestly not missing much. Barrens-esque Whitegate chat, an on-again off-again HNM scene, half-assed Ballista, and that's about it.

Valefor: basically only 1 NA LS does HNM. Used to be more til the 1 remaining bought NASA. Now nobody competes with them.

Cant speak for ballista. Never cared for it.
