If I'm at a drug dealers house and somebody random person comes sneaking in I'm not asking questions.

I don't think Farrow is innocent. Halfway through the ritual, it seemed that he had stopped denying and starting to try to justify it, and I quote "If they could thank me, they fuckin' would. Because of my photos, those women will live on forever".

That isn't to say his assistant is innocent either. I would say that they were both involved. Maybe the assistant was just the clean-up guy (it isn't unthinkable that he would leave more actual evidence on the body than the killer).

I don't usually watch the previews for the next week, but after seeing the comments here, I did. It looks like both confess (though Dexter may not have confessed 100%. Perhaps just the latest spinning it as though it were an accident). It also appears that Trinity intended to commit suicide after confessing. Almost looks as though Trinity was finally sated or broken and looking for closure, so he confesses to a "Friend" to whom he can relate (he will probably claim that, do to their similarities, Dexter was his "best" or "only true" friend. The concept has precedence with Miguel and Brian) and resolves to end it all.

As of next week we will only be 8 episodes in, it's way too early for Trinity to go right now. I think some more insanely unexpected things are going to happen like we have been watching.

He is not gonna kill Trinity any time soon like he said.
At first he kept him alive because he was trying to understand him- the guy's past, his life, his rituals. Like he does with most of his kills.

Then when he found out the truth he realized he had a lot to learn from Arthur. He's a serial killer with a family, but difference is, the family all loves him, and it seems to be working out. Last episode was a good indicator of how he's trying to learn to replicate that.

What my friends and I talked about are how he's making the same mistake he has before, where he's trying to befriend the killer to get closer, but actually seems to be relying on their friendship.

Also, the preview for next week is fucking crazy.

Actually... I watched the preview again. When Trinity says "I've never told anybody that before", I think he might be responding to Dexter telling Trinity what he knows about him/his pattern. Maybe it wasn't a straight forward confession, but rather a reaction to Dexter's (sympathetic and needy?) analysis of him. Dexter is gonna be the one using the "I understand you" speech this time, and not only in his head.

I saw this weeks episode yesterday and it seemed really over acted at some parts... but it is quite ridiculous that Dexter killed and innocent guy /sigh hopefully next episode will be interesting.

It really wouldn't have made a difference if Farrow constantly shouted that he was innocent. I bet Dexter has heard that line more time than he cares to count. Dexter's system is based on what he knows, not what other people tell him when they're on the table.

And Dexter wasn't responsible at all for Doaxes death. He wanted to frame him and put him away (now if Doaxes died of the death penalty, it would have been Dexter's fault). Lila broke into Dexter's car of her own accord, followed his GPS, entered the cabin, opened the gas tap and turned on the fire.

    How is that Dexter's fault?

I kinda like how Quinn is the new Doaxes, but he isn't nearly as likable (despite the fact that he's a lot more likable than Doaxes ever was), but I feel like they're trying too hard to show us that.

Is there any reason why Trinity was so angry this episode? It seems weird to invite someone out and then be all moody about it.

It's Dexter's fault for killing that innocent guy cause Dexter is obviously to in love with killing now to even try and find out if someone is a real killer or not. This weeks episode showed Dexter must sterotype people who present themselves in a certain way as a killer imo.

Also everytime I watch this show Dexter reminds me more and more of the main character of Deathnote lol

That is...exactly the point. If somebody locked a guy in a warehouse and the warehouse burned down, they would be put in prison for murder. Its not direct but they are still apart of it. I don't understand how people can just throw the law out and claim he wasn't responsible because he didn't do it with his own hands. Like I said before, many people have been put away for 'murder' even when they were nowhere near the act.

I don't think anybody is debating that or wondering that. The conversation was on if he had killed an innocent person before or not. I'm sure all of us will watch it till it ends.

I'm not saying Dexter should be let off the hook for killing Farrow. He did jump the gun, though your analysis of Dexter is kinda... simple.

The point is whether Dexter should have felt guilt for Doaxes death in that situation - and he shouldn't have. Regardless of his part in his death, Dexter was not the direct cause - Lila was. Why should he feel guilty of something someone else did even if they took advantage of the situation that Dexter created?

It was wrong to say that Dexter wasn't responsible at all. He was responsible for locking him in the cage, I suppose you could say he was responsible for his death as well (I don't agree with that, but lets move on).

Killing an innocent isn't what has Dexter all distraught. It's the fact that he killed an innocent with his ritual. To Dexter the ritual is sacred and cannot, for any reason, become tainted. It's not the killing itself that satifies his dark passenger. It's the feeling of complete power and dominance over other powerful people that he's seeking.

And I suspect the change in Trinity has more to do with his family then it does Dexter.

    <---------- Quinn

He is fucked, he's gonna get killed by Dex this season and I know it. Also, agree with it being Quinn who shot Deb/Lundy.

Because if Quinn is the new Doaxes and Doaxes is dead for getting too close to Dexter then Quinn is dead as well. I think that's right at least, not that I agree with it.
