Dexter Season 4

I hated season 3, liked season 2, loved season 1, and I'm loving season 4. When trinity was choking his son in the chair, I was just waiting for dex's hand to come out from the side of the screen and and pop trinity in the neck with a needle. Dragging him across the floor with a belt was much more awesome though.

Miguel was a very good antagonist.. Season 3 was amazing.

1 > 3 > 2. I have a feeling 4 will probably be better than 4, the events in this recent episode are just so fucking out of control. They set it up for a lot of possibilities..

Season 3 didn't get good until Miguel had that freak out on the roof, then everything after picked up. But before that was absolutely terrible.
Season 2 had bits of genius, and bits of why am I watching this show.
Season 1 was perfection.

I'm curious what people's opinion were before this last episode. The past two or three episodes were soft, and to be honest, this season started off with them over playing dexter being tired and rita being a bitch. They overdid it in my opinion, and it got real annoying. I'm glad they're finally over that, and this past episode has me pumped to finish the season off.

To me, 1 was king, 2 and 3 were pretty good, slight edge to 3, but they're both well below 1. 4 remains to be seen, but if they can keep up the quality of this episode I think it has a chance.

I don't know what it was about him that just struck me as just some Mexican wannabe. His character and backstory were nowhere near as interesting as Trinity's or any other storyline in previous seasons.

Season 3 was fantastic. Season 2 wasn't terrible, but it definitely felt like the weakest season to me. While I loved season 3, season 1 is still hands down the best thus far.

Honestly, I hope not. I thought that was kinda eh in the books, and I have a hard time seeing how it would translate to the series. Especially when

Dexter has shown a lot more emotion on the show; he seems more preoccupied with protecting children and seems to care more for them (even though he does admit not wanting them any sort of harm in the books, it's not in the same way). He even told his son he didn't want to take his innocence, and it kinda seems that would go for Rita's kids too.

That's not to say it could never happen, though. I just hope it doesn't.

I hated season 4 when it first started, said it many times it felt like it was dragging with the family bullshit, Rita being unlikable etc. But it seems to really have picked up finally and I am enjoying it now.

As soon as they brought that neighbor guy in to the story in the very first few episodes, I totally called that something was going to happen between him and Rita.

Last couple of episodes have been pretty intense - while I agree the start of the season was tame, it did a good job of leading us up to the boiling point. It's kind of how we saw Trinity - crazed but intriguing, then he was calm and perfect, nothing much wrong and then they drop the fucking bomb on us.

Season 2 was probably the weakest so far, but saying that doesn't make season 2 bad, it was probably the most tense season simply because of Doaxes being a total badass. I mean, compared to Quinn, it's like night and day. A bad season of Dexter is still a good season of TV.

So I went to wiki to figure out which ep Doakes found out about Dex in and noticed they have cited summaries of the remaining eps of the season if people wanna rid them. I tried not to once I realized it, but unfortunately read some of it.

I never found Quinn to be that bad or a threat. Seems like a cop stereotype rehashed.

I don't think he is either. At least he's not as much as a threat (not even close) as Doaxes was. I think it would just be annoying to have Quinn on Dex's back, not dangerous.
