In an interview, Lindsay stated that Dexter by Design revolves around series protagonist Dexter Morgan in Paris on his honeymoon. While in Paris, he gets caught up in the world of modern art.[2]

In an interview in March 2009, Lindsay has said the next book in the series after Dexter by Design will take his character into the world of cannibalism, and will be called Dexter is Delicious.[3]

So here's my prediction for the episode, Deb finds out about Dex. Trinity looks up Dex in phonebook, finds multiple D Morgan's. Shows up at Deb's, kills her. Past that idk.

Finding out that Dexter is Brian's brother doesn't necessarily mean she would find out that he's a killer. I don't think Deb will die because frankly, the show won't be interesting if he doesn't have people whom it is difficult to hide from. Rita isn't enough, and besides that, I'm sure the writers/directors know how much people hate her. By comparison, Deb is downright likable.

Also, the address shown in the preview didn't have an apartment number on it, so it isn't likely to be Deb's place.

Oh, I do very much HOPE you're right, but the only way I see Deb dying is if Dexter is right behind her (at least within the same season), and I doubt they're ready to end the series just yet. (and you have to admit, Dexter dying is the ONLY way they're gonna be able to end this series assuming it doesn't burn out and fade away)

It's a shame they already had the Bay Harbor Butcher thing play out, I'd love to see the series end with Dexter getting arrested.

They could bring it back if there's new evidence or something. Like if someone finds bags full of a body somewhere and it's got the same kill pattern or some signature they never released to the public. All they would need to know is that the person was alive after Doake's died and possibly reopen it.

I can't see how anybody would even think this show wouldn't be renewed. It will go as long as the creators want it to go. Although I have heard they want to start wrapping things up so I could see it ending after next season or maybe two.

Something like find new body -> re-investigate Butcher -> bunch of misleading shit -> Deb or someone makes connections -> confronts Dexter -> Turns himself in/gets shot/kills himself. It may not be the best ending but I can see them being able to pull off a second butcher story.

It'd probably take them 10 episodes to get to this conclusion though. The detectives get pretty stupid when they're getting too close to the truth too soon in the season. It took them like 6 episodes for Deb to figure out that the trinity killer didn't shoot her since the shots looked wrong. Or it could be 4-5 episodes of them figuring it out, 5-6 episodes of him running or something.

I almost feel like I'm betraying the series by saying this, but I really do think it would be best if they ended it next season. There just aren't very many more directions they can go with his character. Also, the longer he eludes capture, the more strain it puts on the good ole' "suspension of disbelief".

A route I wouldn't mind would be if his whole family minus his real son got offed and Dex straight drops all pretense of the "Code" and goes full on Brian-evil killer. I'd love to see him purposely fuck with the cops for a bit. Flash forward to when his kid is ~5 years old. Dex gets caught and dies in a police raid or something while his kid watches, Deb takes him in and discovers he has a Dark Passenger... and teaches him how to survive...

Hopefully it ends on the creators terms, and not on the fact that it is a smash hit, and SHO wants to milk it for a few more dollars.

Not gonna happen. Totally agree that the only way this can end is if he gets caught. Everything in the show points to that he can't help the urge to kill.

I think I could see him abandoning the code soon. He killed someone who was not a murderer. After this Trinity shit blows over I think that is gonna hit him hard.
