The wife and I marathon'd S4 to get caught up. We just started watching Dexter a few months back and we're both addicts.

I wasn't upset at all that they killed Rita; like the post a few pages back I kinda saw it coming with their little bedside exchange about the dark passenger but the wife is mad.

I'm excited for S5; I might have to get Showtime next year just so I can watch Dexter and Californication the night they air instead of waiting for torrents.

Maybe Dexter will "dispose" of her body and claim that she never came back from her vacation. Maui or w/e she went. He came back into the house and his son was sitting there.

the dexter people tend to be assholes about releasing it, most nights it would be 12:30-1 before it was up.

I think a few other people said this already, but my guess is that he knew the cops were closing in on him (which Dexter could say is why he was at the precinct that day) and he did that as a final 'screw you' to the guy who was going to catch him before he disappeared forever.
