Hall is great in dexter but have yet to see him do anything in any kind of movie roll that's worth mentioning.

Some interesting Dexter tidbits have come to our attention from EW.com's Michael Ausiello. For those of you worrying about the show getting rid of Astor and Cody, and perhaps shuffling them off to live with Rita's parents leaving Dexter with just baby Harrison, you can rest easy. Dexter will be attempting to take care of all three kids…with the help of Deb!

They'll also be moving back into Dexter's old second-floor apartment, which you can imagine will make for some very close quarters. There's also a teensy bit of news relating to Rita which is that, as of the start of the season, the police will not be aware that the Trinity Killer killed her. We're not sure how that could be possible and it opens up the sort of sick notion that Dexter might rig the crime scene in a different way as to throw the police off track – so he can, essentially, protect himself.

Season 5 of Dexter will air in September on Showtime.

I just saw Dexter going to a really dark place, even for him, after the end of S4.

I just hope they don't go the route of the third book with Astor and Cody (and Harrison, I guess) being left in Dexter's care. What a terrible turn of events that would be for this show.

I think the only problem with this might be that they have actual kids, instead of being able to do whatever they want in the books with just ideas. I assume the kids know what the show is about and stuff, but getting parents to let them due crazy/dark stuff might be more difficult.

If they do go that route with the kids, it would probably be more implied than actually shown, as far as them doing anything. Like in book 3 when they find the cat and are about to "play" with it, but Rita eventually found them before anything happened.
