my point was that people complained when BSG did it, but when that show did it it was brilliant and poetic. I don't care if people like the show, but if I hear one more fanboy rant about how amazing and perfect it is I will punch someone.

It was fucking genius. Watched it five times since Sunday night.

Never watched BSG though so I can't comment on that.

We will agree to disagree then. I acknowledge that, for what it was, the finale was done well, a great emotional sendoff or whatever, but as an end to the series it was a bullshit copout. Rather than answer any of the dozens of questions or plot elements, it simply provided a farewell to the show. That, even if done well, is lazy writing.

Julia Stiles joins cast of "Dexter"

According to the channel, Stiles will "play a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) in the wake of the death of his wife."
Season five of "Dexter," which starts production this month, will run this fall on the channel.
Stiles' feature credits include "Ten Things I Hate About You," "Save the Last Dance," "The Omen" and the three "Bourne" movies opposite Matt Damon.
"Dexter" also stars Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, C.S. Lee, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, and James Remar.

My guess is that she is gonna be some kind of police psychologist. I can see Dex's sister making him go to one after finding out about his mom and now dealing with the events that transpired in the season finale.
