I really hate to harp on the differences between WoW and FFXI, but playing dealing with WoW is like dealing with a company who likes me, who wants me to be happy. Dealing with FFXI is like dealing with a company who wants me to sit down, shut the fuck up, and accept whatever they feel like doing to me without comment or opinion... and pay monthly to be permitted to do so.

Elmer is amazing at what he does. I visit JPB on a everyday basis (along with BG) cause I always wait for any updates that are pertinent to the game. I'm not sure why SE is dissing JPB like this... but hey, it's a secret, like all other SE's "things"

on a note, why does SE toy around with so much red tape. its like they're worried their gonna make one job in their game overpowered *COUGHSAMURAICOUGH* but at the same time they do stupid shit like this to piss everyone who plays it off.

after reading the guidelines for webmasters on community sites, I think you can technically nitpick that translating copyrighted SE FFXI material on your site is done without specific authorization from SE. Now I think that's kind of bullshit and you're actually doing them an incredible service, but I'd wager that may be why they are shunning your site.

FINAL FANTASY XI images are limited to screenshots taken during gameplay.

When mentioning/using the term "Vana'diel": VANA'DIEL is a registered trademark of Square Enix Co., Ltd.

Using the character name display/non-display function in FINAL FANTASY XI, take screenshots without displaying the character name. If you wish to show character names other than your own on the screenshots taken, you must obtain approval from each person prior to posting such screenshots.

Basically if you choose to use screenshots, you have to use their screenshot method with the trademark on it. No Windower/FRAPS it seems. Also, the whiting out names thing is funny, but if you check a good number of well visited JP blogs they already do all this.
