Heavy Rain for PS3 1UP Cover Story
In Indigo Prophecy's defense the first 3/4 of the game was absolutely fantastic and the plot was top notch. It was only the last bit involving the clans and all the other crap(hello A.I. bad guys wtf?) Aside from the ending(which wasn't horrid, just not done as well as the rest of the game) the game was fantastic.
Nice, I completely missed that cover story somehow... I hadn't seen much on this since the initial teaser trailer was released and the short interviews that followed (and said little).
Watching the interview now, and i will say that it is once again on my radar. I really should play Indigo Prophecy...
Indigo Prophecy was one of my favorite PS2 games, cant wait for this.
Thought I was the only one intrested in this game for awhile, glad to see others that are anticipating it as well!
Beat me to making this thread.
Really looking forward to this as being one of the top PS3 exclusive games in the console's library.
Not sure if this interview is in that 1up one you posted but this is the most recent thing I looked at.
Heavy Rain - Your Questions Answered - PlayStation.Blog
This may be the game that makes me get a PS3 someday. I only played a little bit of Indigo Prophecy, I think... right after the huge office quicktime event with huge bugs? is where I stopped, but Heavy Rain looks beautiful.
Glad to see an update about this, been looking forward to this game since I saw the trailer with the woman being chased by the fat serial killer in the house. xD
I presume this Indigo Prophecy you are talking about is Fahrenheit?
Is this the game with the aliens coming down in the raindrops? Starring Kit Ramsey?
A mini update of the game, can't wait to play it.
Source: PS3center.net - Story: David Cage: Sony Really Pays Attention to the Quality of a Game
David Cage has gone on record to rubbish claims by "gamers" that Heavy Rain is only full of quick time events. He mentions that the only people saying this are those that have never played the game, and that the balance of QTE versus action in the game is exactly like Farenheit (Indigo Prophecy in the US). He explains that the game only goes into QTE during a cutscene sequence, and allows you to control the character at all times throughout these unique experiences.
Cage also commented on Sony saying that "they really pay attention to the quality of the game. That's the only thing that matters to them, and to us too...I think we are in good shape, we made the game we wanted to make."
Finally a release date, 2/28/2010. Been waiting on this game for years....
that release date is cool, its a week after my last exams
i absolutely loved the first part of indigo prophecy, reminded me a lot of early x-files episodes that touched on the surreal/mystic stuff but never actually went deeply or obviously into it.
hoping that heavy rain will be fun like that
Not happy about this release date, needs to be mid Jan to first week of Feb. This is to close to XIII for me to be able to play it as much as I want to.
I was really looking forward to this, but unfortunatley with its release date its going to get pushed to the wayside. Dante's Inferno, Lost Planet 2, FF 13 and GOW 3, all within weeks, going to be rough.
I swear it always seems to work out like this with my most anticipated titles, always about 3-5 at once. Every year at LEAST once. Then months with nothing.
Yup, pretty much happens every year, dropping 400-500 bucks on games all at once is rough for some of us.
Which is why i try to pay off some ahead of time. My GOW 3, FF 13 and DI are paid off. Monster Hunter Tri is coming out soon after as well, which I would love to get but need to buy a wii, so much shit all at once.
