Heavy rain lived up to the hype so I am very happy it sold much better then they where thinking it would. I have a PS3 no clue what they can do this time around to make the system jump as much as the PS1>:S2 >PS3

things made a huge leap this time around, look at FF12 best looking game on ps2 and think heavy rain ~_~PS3 has a lot of power it it, just now showing up. If Sony can make a large leap in the specs and keep the price hovering around 300(lol right) it be fine I guess in a few years. They are selling Ps3 and games like hot cakes now, the last thing on their mind is next gen.

lol I played for about 1hr with it linked, I never run into this because My TV, PS3 and chair alongside my PC are about a max of 5 feet from each other. ~_~

2x post I know, but I was asking myself about this so maybe others want to know too. Some random blogish thing after googleing heavy rain DLC spoilered because it gives away large hints on the main game, even though its about the DLC.

David Cage has revealed that one episode of Heavy Rain's Chronicles DLC puts you in the body of the Origami Killer himself.

Over the course of an hour you'll uncover the reason for his murderous obsession, Cage told gameblog.fr (helpfully decoded by our friends at Eurogamer France).

Another Chronicle will be based on FBI profiler Norman Jayden, and in it we'll find out where he got his scar and how he became addicted to prescription psychoactive drug Triptocaine.

And there's also the episode starring photographer Madison Paige, who trots off to investigate a taxidermist and unsurprisingly runs into a spot of bother. We'll find out why she can't sleep, too.

The Heavy Rain Chronicles will be around an hour long, according to Cage David, and serve as prequels to the characters in Heavy Rain. Nothing has been said about episodes starring the other two leads, Ethan Mars and Scott Shelby.

Sony announced the Chronicles DLC last year and told us it would comprise of two instalments, both to be available after Heavy Rain's release - 26th February.

Some of this stuff I did want to ask, deeper into the mind of the killer and what not. Only thing I wish it would be a tad longer then 1hr >.< but when the game is 60~ and gives you 8hrs for one play no shocker that the DLC will be only 1hr or so.

The Taxidermist seems like it'd take place after the main story, which kind of seems to go against where the other ones would fit in. Mainly going off the ending where Madison is selling the book Heavy Rain and is approached by the man in the trench coat that says she deserves a rival that's "more ferocious". I would assume that was intended to be the introduction to where the Taxidermist chapter hooks in, but I might be wrong.

it very well could be, they said two would come out on release. But only one is now delayed. One of the two is said to happen befor hand. This one might be after. At any rate I did not pre order so I have to buy ;; ah oh well should be worth iti think

Enjoying it so far. Just finished up the first trial.

Doh, clicked a spoiler but now one of the trophies makes a hell of a lot more sense if the killer is who I think it is.

In hindsight when the watch was mentioned and seeing the old badge, it should've clicked entirely, but I just did a 4 hour run and not everything from my part playthrough a few days ago was as easily remembered.

For some reason, I just didn't see that coming. I really enjoyed the game, although a friend stopped by when I was finishing it so the end was kinda ruined for me. Still, definitely will play through again.

Actually I'd written it off as the trauma from losing his child and the subsequent divorce. It's not beyond people to develop such things in times of stress, although the origami figure in his hand kind of threw that away.

That said, I'd honestly forgotten about it about an hour after the entire thing was dropped, heh.

Is anyone else having problem with audio cutting out? I've read about it elsewhere, and it is insanely irritating. What's worse is that the subtitles stop at the same time. So I miss out on dialog, and then there's no subtitles to get me through the rest of the scene--it just plays out the video and I have no idea what anyone is saying. The characters' mouths usually get stuck in some kind of "ffffffffffuuuuuu" motion, too. Is there a fix for this shit?

Speaking of problems. I'm playing through the EU version and got to the bit:

Ethan is at the power plant and has to crawl through the tunnels with broken glass

and the game keeps not recognising my R2 button press. So i can't move. Anyone else with the EU version get the same issue? If i restart the game, i can normally get past the first part, but as soon as i get to another room it locks up again. Not happened at any other part of the game so far.

holy shit, just beat it for my first time.. great game.. a few questions though about the FBI guy. And a few ending spoilers!

He didn't die, but at his last scene I was unable to find the clue he was looking for in the Ari, and when I saw his eye start to bleed I told him to give up.. and the ending had him leaving the FBI.. what was the clue I was looking for? I searched everything but didnt want to kill him from overuse ><.

And I would of never guessed it being Scott, I thought it was Blake from like 2hrs into it lol.
My ending had me save the kid w/Madison and Ethan, and killing Shelby, nobody died. But I also didn't complete the last trial because fuck killing Ethan like that
