What is the point of having him not do Triptocaine through the whole game if he's just going to take some right at the end? I felt like it was kind of a waste to have him not take it the few times that you could control it. Can anyone tell me what difference it makes if you actually indulge?

Well, it makes sense the killer won't change. It'd be extremely difficult to come up w/ a scenario that you have a bunch of people w/ their own reasons to kill the same people.

Not really, the killer could be literally ANYONE in the story... we're never introduced to Ethan, Shelby, Blake, Nathan, etc's parents in the story.

The entire story hinges on the identity of John Sheppard's brother, which we only ever learn when John himself names them...he could of said ANY of the names above and the story would of stayed consistent because everything leading up to that point in the game is nothing but a series of tricks to get your mind away from their identity.

Basically since we don't know any of the characters parents, any of them could of been adopted, and thus any of them could of been John Shepard's twin. The ONLY tweak would need to be John's date of death to match different characters

That said I'm pretty sure there are not multiple killers, cause I've yet to see a single confirmation of that in like 10 HR threads on different boards.

btw; i the way you choose your actions determines whos the killer. They designed the story to fit multiple possible endings/killers.

There are 7 specific endings. Each ending has different epilogues for the characters though.

it seemed obvious to me who the killer was from certain things, but someone had been a dick and spoiled it ahead of time, so maybe I was just scrutinizing said individual closer than I would normally

As I understand it from multiple sources, yes, as long as you set it to "Save" from chapter select.

you have to play from that point on, if you do perfect crime 1st the other endings don't require you to backtrack that far, theres 7 endings btw

Then I lost Norman on the conveyor belt and fucked up with Madison outside.

Just finished the game for the first time, my two cents...

I really could have done without the fight scene between Norman and the killer in the night club, it pretty much gave it away who the killer was based on the stature alone. That along with the fact that Shelby was chasing a 'lead' completely out of left field with that Kramer guy, it was a little too obvious at that point. Still, it was amazing to see unfold, the motives behind it and whatnot.

Ended up losing all four playables, but I still finished the game, I thought that wasn't possible. Norman died from an ARI overdose I guess (that is what he was really addicted to, right? Not the drugs? That's how I interpreted it anyway, considering he died while I was flipping through ARI towards the end of the game, his eyes and nose started bleeding in the process.), Madison died in the fire, Ethan was shot down by the cops after saving Shaun, and Shelby was killed by Lauren in the epilogue.

Overall it was as enjoyable as I expected it to be, and while I typically have a major issue with replaying games for whatever reason (can never seem to get back into them), I'm almost positive I can grind out all endings with no issue for Heavy Rain.

Without the 3 clues from that fight though, the dropped gun, the watch on the video and the receipts, there's no way for Norman to find out who the killer is on his own.
