How long does it take normally for the story to pick up? Just bought the game today (shame the origami instructions has the orientation buggered up, took me awhile to fix it), and been wondering at what point does shit get serious.
So far I'm at the point where...

Ok, this section is ticking me off:

Do you have to go overboard of the motion for turning your controller like a wheel? Sometimes it registers when I tilt it 90 degrees, other times it won't. I can't tell if I need to keep it resting at the angle until the icon disappears, or if I need to keep tilting it until it's gone. That or maybe Wii-style it by just violently shaking the controller in all directions until it registers since the game ignores wrong inputs. >.>
Tired of redoing this section since I want it to be a perfect run.

After the PS3 clock debacle I got on to play some Heavy Rain, my couple of trophies loaded up fine and as I passed a few sections at the end I continued to get more, until I got to the section early in the game that was a little longer then the rest have been, I think it was the police station to Madison first appearance section after it I received the "You have earned a bonus" message at the bottom left of the screen but never received any trophies. Every time I got that message before it gave me a trophy or is it possible it unlocked something else? I continued to get trophies in the following levels though.
Yeah I dunno archie I noticed that as well, I didnt receive a couple trophies when I was playing either. But its hard to tell when 98% of them are secret.
I've gotten a couple bonuses on loading screens with zero trophies myself, so I'm assuming they're unrelated.
remember there's a Bonus choice on the main screen, you can see a bunch of art and videos i think.
I hated that part. This game should've come with a wrist strap because I tried so hard doing a fast turning motion that my controller flew out of my hand and spun around through the air. It still didn't register the motion.
The end of that scene pissed me off too, because you had to shake the controller up and down, but not the controller's up, up if you were holding the controller parallel to the ground. And I think it was upside down and in nervous unreadable mode. It took so long for me to do the scene became ridiculous.
Ya, that was my dilema, shit sucks but at the same time I am glad they are secret otherwise I would fuck up and spoil shit for myself.
Thats what I am hoping it was for.
Other then freezing once when trying to leave the first crime scene (from the demo) I haven't had any other issues. Game is very emotional and engrossing, the panick/franticness from some of the scenes I have done have just been exceptional and everything feels alive and real, other then a few tech. glitches with movement or juddering I am very impressed with this game.
There are a few chapters where no trophies are assigned. The bonus message just means you got new art etc. I think it unlocks differently depending on what path you take. ie: doing things one way in Hassan's shop unlocks A while doing it another way unlocks B.
Bonus's are diff from trophies. You get Bonuses for completing chapters and doing specific things in said chapter
I'm not sure if Heavy Rain does it, but in Little Big Planet, it recalibrates the motion sensors based on how you're holding the controller (horizontal versus vertical). It might be that some of you are having problems with the motion sensor due to how you're holding the controller. (The prompts are based on holding it horizontally.)
spoilers for se7en and heavy rain so I will just link, but video is pretty cool
