Upcoming psychological thriller Heavy Rain won't be out until February 23. The game's demo is not scheduled until February 11. Today is February 5. So what, let's get the demo.

Sony has launched a website called "Precinct 52", an alternate reality game of sort. This ARG asks players to submit four pieces of evidence.

For those who want to play the ARG, stop now.

For those who do not want to play the ARG and would like to submit the correct evidence (at least, correct at time of publishing) and get the demo right now, continue.

The four pieces of evidence are:

• Short cigarette (117b)
• Origami bird
• Coffee shop C (it says "diner")
• 117h (tyre tracks).

Be care about which coffee shop you pick as there are several, and you must submit the correct one to get the code. Likewise, the writing on the "tyre tracks" is difficult to read.

Site is down atm, so I haven't verified personally.

Fucking Shenmue. I actually enjoyed that until my game got stuck with the dock-job game. No matter what I did I could NOT get past that part.

yea i'm having problems to(mine says it's incorrect or no longer valid), but is this a US promo or EU?

i found the problem, use the code on the EU PSN

I used my code on my US account without any problem.

(Although it used to be a EU account that I changed over to US, if that makes a difference.)

well i used the website kotaku posted and my code didn't work on NA PSN so i tried on the EU PSN and it gave me the demo, so i don't know what to say anymore lol

Try putting "US" in place of "GB" in the URL of the registration form, i.e.:

http://heavyrainps3.com/registration/signup/en_US

I registered with that and then went to the Precinct 52 page and logged in with the account that I made there. It gave me a code that worked on my US PSN account!
