My complaint is jerking off the controller to do certain things. My controller doesnt register the up and down movements. Which means I won't be buying the game, cuz theres certain things you need.

based on the demo, this "game" is horrible. probably fun somewhat more enjoyable to watch someone else play though.
holy fuck, that made me cringe & a game hasnt made me do that in a long ass time lol
Decided not to pre-order it; Got enough on my plate as it is. Might pick it up for 40~ down the road; but seeing as there are 3~ more games coming out within the next 2 months I don't know when I'll have time....
Are Sony's servers slow as ass or is it just me?
time to replay Indigo Prophecy in preparation for this
Finished the demo, and am completely relieved they ditched the dual-analog simon says bullshit of Indigo Prophecy which I couldn't stand. The way they handled the QTEs for the fight scene in the apartment had me sold. Long as the story is solid I'm good to enjoy this as I did Indigo Prophecy.
(aside from those fucking back-2-back-2-back-2-back-2-back-2-back simon says sections)
Will definitely be picking this up some day, just not day 1 due to games I already got pre-ordered for March. All I could ask for in the full game is a trot/jog option. Walking everywhere just takes too long.
After playing the demo for myself, this wont be a day one for me, but I will pick it up at some point this year.
I'm thinking of dling Fahrenheit, think it's worth the try? I skipped it for some reason and Shadow of Destiny too...
fahrenheit takes a long time to get used to, particularly the PC version. It's probably not a bad idea to see if you're ready for what Heavy Rain has to offer. Narrative does seem to trump a lot of other concerns like good controls or an intuitive interface.
I would highly recommend trying a demo first. Game hasn't aged too well, and the QTE are teeth-grating imo. Most of my enjoyment from it were from the investigation scenes and sections where you have to cover your tracks to not look suspicious.
Dual-analog stick is a must as well if you plan on playing it on PC.
it's worth dealing with the QTEs just for the story alone... well the first 90% of it lol
and aren't they remaking shadow of destiny for psp? or just a port? or is that jp onry
Hadn't read this thread before (sooner or later I'll learn to stop ignoring threads in this forum...) but I saw the demo on the ps home screen last night and figured what the hell. Just played it and I fucking loved it. Haven't played a story/rpg like this before (maybe like phantasmagoria a decade ago?), but it was fun. Really want to pick this up, but just got WKC and AC2, and with 13 coming out soon... maybe I should find a winning lottery ticket...
Did anybody have to fuck with their tvs brightness majorly for this demo? I went to the gamma setting and turned it all the way up, and couldnt see anything but black in the box x.x;
Hard to tell for sure right now as the sun kicks off major glare through the sliding glass door at this hour, and don't wanna be fucking with shit that's worked fine for everything else.
i find that the default setting in most games lately is way the fuck too dark
