    Korin obi is amazing, I'd recommend that and Anrin obi (Dark Arts + Aspir in Dynamis is amazing with Anrin and a decent Dark Magic skill build). It's not necessary, but a Dark Magic set can be useful, with SCH sub I can get some pretty decent Aspirs to help with the flow of MP.
    Very nice to see WHM who understand this concept in full..i need a few sticks and some cherry bombs just to get any whm here to understand even half of this. it get's very hard NOT to yell at every green WHM running around...but i hold my tounge..

    however, nothing beats WHM who always sell there nobles after getting AF2 body can ANYONE explain to me why so many do this?

    The HP+ stuff comes after the "/ma Cure" line so it's automatic. If you have the time/reflexes to "reset" after every cure then you're all set. (personally, it's second-nature in my quick-clicking)

    But it's much better if you can make it in that 75.00% to 75.99% range so your HP stays white ...

    That's so easy with the auto regen job trait :v

    To the OP, I would focus on getting blessed gear first, followed by a good cape (gigant/errant/lieutenant's) and a novia earring, which are relatively cheap nowadays. Get a templar and shield when you can and otherwise just focus on getting AF2 and improving your HMP set. Goliard and Yigit pieces are of great help too, annoying to obtain, but at least they're free.

    I do it with spellcast, it's not exactly hard. HP- in precast(for cures only), curing gear in midcast, done.

    I personally don't bother with medicine ring, for one I don't have access to enough convert gear, and for two, I'm a taru and dropping to ~600 HP doesn't sit too well with me, I also can't code XML so spellcast is right out. Give the ring a try, if it works out for you great, if it's too much trouble then don't worry about it

    WHM sets
    -Curel/ENM (notable noble's, blessed, raven)
    -hMP (full yigit is good but not the best, but might be easier to get)

    Even on ixion, with 600 HP as a taru, I was fine and highly effecient.

    263 HP Cure3's are fucking hot.

    I do hope you are kidding, please tell me you are...because when fast cast became more important then - enimity
    SpellCast we take it off after we start casting!

    There is no reason not to use medicine ring unless you are surrounded by things that aggro low HP (or being unable to bring your HP low enough, obviously). If you aren't spamming Cure IV, and your tanks aren't utter garbage, there should be no excuses apart from laziness. If you're so worried about having low HP for the latent, stop meleeing and learn to cast from maximum range. Also, WHMs have this nifty spell called Stoneskin. Use it.

    Being Taru I've already basically written off the Zenith gear. But at the same time, for being Taru I should focus on more mnd than MP correct? While not ignoring -enmity

    Your primary focus should always be Enimity, BUT that's not to say overload on it to the point where you have so much your cures don't cure enough, just try to find a good balance, Tarus suffer low MND as a race flaw ( i think?) so MND is always a plus, luckly WHm has alot of - Enimity gear that's fairly easy to get.

    MP gear is at the bottom of the list, the only thing i use MAX MP gear for is buffing, i cast pro/shell reraise and switch to normal gear, cuts down on having to rest after, and it saves alot of time, you have to remember that you will almost NEVER be at full mp in the middle of any fights, unless you aren't doing your job, so MP gear loses it's usefullness after the few few spells you cast, never understood why whm fulltime serket rings and astral.

    Another question. I know devotion is a must have, what other merits should I consider.

    My plan so far:
    Group 1:
    Cure Recast
    Regen or Barspells, not sure

    Group 2:
    Devotion (Worth doing more than 1 merit?)
    Matyr?

    Still unsure

    Group 2 you want 5 merits in Shellra V. Devotion and Martyr depend mostly on what you find yourself doing. I have 1 in Martyr just to have it and the rest in Devotion, though honestly I'm not sure that's the best arrangement. It's pretty rare for me to have another mage in my party anymore and bards/corsairs generally don't need it. Paladins have so many ways to get MP back nowadays that it's rarely been necessary.

    However, if you do end up in a lot of 2 mage parties then Devotion is totally bitchin'.

    Above is pretty standard.
    I would drop the barspell for regen if you mostly do lowman events such as salvage instead.

    Barspell and cure cast time will take you a long way, you can do regen, nothing wrong with it, but you have to ask your self do you use regen often? and would it be worth meriting for the way you play whm.

    Group 2, yes max devotion if you really want to take it serious, you don't HAVE to max it but it really helps out PLDs. however if you don't use it then you can choose somthing else.

    Matyr is an emergency cure when you are out of MP or somone just needs a quick cure and you need to save MP, i think it's worth at least a merit, only thing in group 2 that dosn't help much is Protectra 5, because unless you are fully mieriting it, it won't make a huge diffrence, and fully meriting it isn't a good idea, because you more then likely sacraficed another ability that will help you more.

    If you do endgame alot as whm:

    Cure cast time 5/5
    Barspell 5/5

    Devotion 5/5 or 4/5 if you choose maytr
    Shellra V 5/5 No exceptions on this, it's pretty clear why.

    If you have Aegis PLDs and you'll be in the tank party with them often, Shellra V 5/5 isn't necessary and it would be better to put further merits into Devotion.

    I personally find a conserve MP set pretty useful for spells like Haste and Dia II.

    Medicine ring is pretty simple to keep active with Sublimation.

    5/5 Shellra V is pretty nice. I usually have my WHMs toss a Shellra V on ALL parties, not just the tank party, so everyone can benefit.

    However, in general skill is much more important for WHM than gear. You can have all the HQ gear in the world, but it won't matter if you're slow on cures and status removals. Study the mobs you're fighting, and have their moves drilled into your memory. You should have quick reflexes to cures and status removal as soon as you see the mob readying the move.

    Yea, I was experimenting with chat filters and have them set up now so I see only what I need to see. And I was a quick learner on imps. I was spoiled and most of my leveling was on birds
