Any got a trainer? lol. Borrowing the game so I don't have the time to go through the game normally.

Holy shit. The Deep Road quest has pretty much sealed the deal for me... this is one of the most badass RPGs ever created! Bioware never disappoints, going to have to agree with Atreides, definitely considering going back through BG2:SoA or ID2 after I finish this.
On a side note, reaver/berserker with dual wield is pretty much broken... running around with Momentum, Dual Striking, Frenzy and Berserk on all the time is awesome. If I get surrounded and dip low on health, whirlwind pretty much OHKOs every thing around me lol.
My assassin just destroys everything that moves. I'm only level 15 but my average hit does about 45, when I crit (nearly 50% of the time when face-to-face) does 75, and thats with only one weapon - I dual wield daggers.
My whole team was owned when I fought both the Shapeshifter and the High dragon but my Assassin basically solo'd it. Swift potion makes me attack non-stop and with amazing armor piercing this game turned into one giant joke.
On a side note, does anyone know any tricks to making money?
If you have a dedicated healer and don't really need to use potions you should be swimming in gold by the end of the game, also having someone in your party with the belt that increases monetary gain (pretty sure the dwarf in your camp sells it) seems to increase gold drops by quite a bit.
If you have 50 gold going in to Orzammar for the first time (provided you've finished the quest at the Circle tower and didn't kill the guy in the Dresser), with a high persuade skill you can make like 40-45 gold from 1 quest.
Remember that there is no morality system, and more often than not your party members won't have a problem with your responses to questions so it can be REALLY lucrative to be greedy about asking for rewards/extra rewards from quests.
Also I figured out the glitch thing with the Tombstone in Brecilian Forest, but now the game (360 ver.) won't seem to let me enter Caridin's Cross, it just exits to the main menu and says "Unable to load area". Sucks, I've been trying to track down the last 2 pieces for the Ancient Elven and Effort/Duty set and I'm pretty sure part of it is there.
Oh well. Looks like I'll beat the game tomorrow, then it's back to Borderlands with me.
Which part of the Deep Road quest are you talking about?
Spoiler: show
edit: I've actually never played any Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale besides the first PS2 version D:
You're supposed to use Alistar's 2nd templar skill if you have it, the aoe dispel magic to free the magically trapped werewolves. There are other dispel magic you can use, but his is aoe. Once you do this the fight is a breeze since they all gang rape the elf guy.
First time through I killed him normally, barely, using lots of freezes. 2nd time I tried the dispel magic and didn't have to do anything as the werewolves kill him so fast if you free them.
so final boss kickin my ass, any tips?
I was having a ton of fun in the tower where you become a golem and a mouse and stuff, but then got stuck. The fade portals just lead me around in a giant circle in the templar area. I'm gonna go back to the upper tiers tomorrow to see if I missed something, but if someone on here knows what to do lemme knowI love golem form haha
also, where are the trainers to learn your specialization?
I'd also like to know about where to get the specializations. Particularly whichever is best for Mage. I am level 8 or 9 I think but I still haven't unlocked any and the manuals at the Campsite dwarf merchant are Templar and Assassin or something.
You can save your game, then buy the manuals, then reload, and it will unlockit for all your saves.
Arcane warrior is in the elf ruins, bloodmage is in redcliffe, spirit healer is from wynne, and shapeshifter is from morrigan. You can buy the scrolls randomly from shops all over as well, and unlock em using the save trick.
Maybe depends on if you leveled up more first or not. Can also jump between them - cage someone on the spirit form, then swap to the burning man form and fireball the area (and take no damage yourself) and so on.
I found 'em to be pretty decent for combat, but I've got a heavy mix of support/healing spells I guess.
Was looking through the wikia and found some stuff
Unlocking Spirit Healer

I missed the stupid quest from the elf guy that wanted to marry the chick. I didn't have enough persuasion or whatever was needed and thought maybe I can finish it after clearing the forest. Too bad the game told me "fuck you" because the guy decided he doesn't need my help anymore ; ;
For Mage, you've got Shapeshifter, Spirit Healer, Arcane Warrior, and Blood Mage.
Shapeshifter is acquired through dialogue with Morrigan.
-Can morph into Spider, Bear, or Insect Swarm. Spider is standard damage with a web CC, Bear is high armor/defensive, and Insect Swarm is low damage but absorbs health every attack(Assuming the 4th talent advanced form).
Spirit Healer is purchased in Denerim or taught by Wynne.
-Only Group Heal (excluding Heal over Time abilities).
-Has a protective "bubble" ability that protects a selected ally and heals them before they die.
-Cleansing Aura is a constant Heal over Time AoE that removes injuries. One of my favorite abilities. This ability is activated.
Arcane Warrior is acquired through contact with the Phylactery in the Werewolf Lair.
-No actual attacks but passive/activated abilities that allow one to equip massive armor + 2-handed weapons by enabling Magic to also be considered as Strength. Mana Regen + other defensive traits allow superior survivability.
Blood Mage is earned through the Redcliffe questline. In order to receive Blood Mage specialization, you need to be a Mage and allowed Jowan to live. You'll need to choose to sacrifice Isolde and go to the Fade yourself and make a deal with the Desire Demon.
-Allows the consumption of HP to use spells.
-Unleash high-damage DoTs that paralyze your target.
-Mind control your enemies
simply unlocking each of the specializations gives a small stat bonus as well, or in the case of spirit healer, increased health regen during combat. But yeah, Cleansing Aura is insane, especially when coupled with Wynne's storyline ability.
I started the game on hard difficulty, I think that was a mistake... I have no healer and fights against 15xp bandits are epic encounters where I barely survive. It's rather frustrating.
