Return to the scene of the the Grey Wardens' darkest hour in Return to Ostagar, a new downloadable content pack for Dragon Age: Origins, due out this holiday season for all three platforms.

At the beginning of Dragon Age: Origins, a battle between the forces of good and evil at Ostagar leave the Grey Wardens nearly extinct and young King Cailan seriously dead. In Return to Ostagar, players revisit the scene of the slaughter, exacting revenge, uncovering secrets, and seeking out the arms and armor of the fallen king. I'd expect the armor might need a little hammering out, considering the good king was crushed like an empty Sprite can.

"We are very proud of the phenomenal launch of Dragon Age: Origins and we're pleased to announce the next installment of downloadable content that will be available to fans of the game," said Ray Muzyka, Group General Manager, RPG/MMO Group of EA, and Co-Founder, BioWare. "The Return to Ostagar DLC pack is a prime example of BioWare's commitment to give fans a game that continuously offers new experiences and further enriches a storyline that has already received critical acclaim and positive feedback from the players."

Return to Ostagar will be released for the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 some time this holiday season, with a price tag of 400 Microsoft points, 400 BioWare points, or $4.99 depending.

You can shoot it with the balista? Man I just had Shale run in to tank it and had my three mages in the back shooting and chain chugging mana & hp pots as I had a metric shitton left at the end.

I also didn't use any of my allies through the previous areas so I summoned all of the mages to help me with the fight. When the Archdemon flew over to the far/unreachable areas I left my mages attack him while shale and the mage tower people were killing the adds. When the add wave was over the Archdemon was only left at 20% hp.

yea :/ but she is a really manly girl! what's odd is that she sounds like a guy until you find that out, then you realize it's just a really raspy old girl sounding voice. And I had saved before the anvil area so I could get both trophies at the same area. Branka is a bitch :/ I didn't like helping her. It made me happy to reload the other way afterward.

Did you have Wynne in your group? If not, get her. Swap her in as your healer and keep two ranged melee down at the bottom of the hill. You still may need to pop a few healing potions along the way. But if you're playing as Wynne just keep popping lyrium potions and spamming heals.

I killed Wynne, didn't know at the time that she could be a pt member. Morrigan has been my healer but since she can't come with me I just stock up on meds for the fight.

Also, Shale has been a really shitty tank for me, I much prefer myself as the tank, and I've been using Alistair as my DD. I think I might change that though because I screwed up on Alistair's stats so now I have more Attack and more Defense than he does lol.

what crystals are you using for Shale? I had a lot of great results with brilliant/flawless Nature crystals, they seem to help with survivability as a tank quite a bit

Been using full juggernaut gear on alistair. Pretty awesome for him since it has high armor and a lot of resistance to spells.

I swapped my main rogue's weapons from double dagger (dagger/crow) to that legendary starmetal sword + crow dagger offhand. Not sure if I like it yet...hits harder but slower. Trying to save up for the legendary dagger in orzamar. Now that I'm higher level, monsters are dropping quite a bit more silver which is nice. And I capped out pickpocket so I can steal in combat now with a fairly fast cooldown.

I was dual wielding Starfang and Keening Blade lol, both filled up with grand master runes. The damage is flat out ridiculous, especially if you have both STR and DEX fairly high. I'm not a rogue though, but a heavy armor DW/archer warrior.

Well I said DLC items, which is what they were trying to use to bribe you to paying more for the various collectors editions.. I have np with paying for content as long as it has new story/new areas/new mobs.

Almost finished the game, just gotta finish up in Orzammer then I'l have all the lands united. Been avoiding this thread out of fear of spoilers lol. And now their are 20 pages to read.. ugh.

I romanced Morrigan but she just becomes so whiny towards the end. I had her approval maxed out and she was still being all whiny. So I broke up with her but I'm not getting any dialog options to get Leilana now! D:

Also I recognized some of the voice actors.
* Flemeth is captain janeway from star trek vaoyager
* The chief in the dalish village is Tuvak also from star trek voyager, and w/ the pointy ears and facial expression he even looks like him.
* Morrigon is the human chick from farscape + stargate

I also found 2 massive bugs in the game that lets you get unlimited exp and unlimited gold .
1) You can buy unlimited elfroots cheap from the dalish, then trade it to the allied supply crates for unlimited exp.
3) Greater lyrium potions sell for like 1gold+ but the materials to craft them are available at vendors and a bit cheaper. But as you can craft w/ a single mouse click you can make massive amounts of gold in a short timeframe
I exploited the hell out of it at first , then I realized it would ruin my game so i reloaded to an older one.
My theory is that the vendors w/ unlimited cheap crafting ingredients were added in only in the last moment in the the games software design life cycle. So stuff like the allied supplies quest assumed you would be farming the elfroots instead of just buying.

The DLCs are super lame btw. I have np with buying the content if they provided new areas + missions etc, but the straight out buying of items is pure RMT and cheating. Also you can just make better items in the level editor so its pointless.

Bioware would have never have done something so sleazy but I guess since EA acquired them they made them! D:

That Greater Lyrium trick doesn't work unfortunately. The mats alone are around 1G+ and they only sell for 50s.

I just learned about the reset stats trick and I pumped Allistar's Const like 75 points just for kicks. Might just make a level 1 warrior called Princess with 300 strength for fun.

Finished with the Mage's Circle and Redcliffe portions, among a slew of side quests. Friggin' awesome game so far.

Just ended the game. Almost died from a debuff that oddly carried over and I lived with 5 HP rofl. I fucking hate that debuff where it doesn't let you heal, goddamn emissaries.

Last fight was pretty intense. Not as hard as the first time you fight that bigass Onyxia dragon but worthy of a last boss for the most part. Truth be told I had a harder time dealing with that giant group of hordes with the three mages in the back. They'd just heal-block and lock my two melee's into place and I'd proceed to get raped. I had to do some weird rush tactics and I lived with one guy left chugging potions saying "please god don't die" over and over. : p


Oh and did anyone kill the girl who tries to send you to prison when you break the Queen out? I actually managed to do it by kiting her out of the room so I wasn't bothered by the 15 archers standing by her.

I was able to kill her by standing just outside the room where she is, then casting blizzard + inferno + tempest, then running into the room to start the cutscene. As soon as the cutscene ended all the people helping her pretty much died instantly. Granted this was on normal so I wasn't taking damage from my own AoEs, but if I remember correctly I wasn't in the blast radius for very long anyway.

She drops pretty much the best greatsword in the game, btw.

You might have to romance them in a specific order.

First I got both to high affection levels.
Then eventually when you talk with morrigan, she will demand you chose between them. Pick morrigan at this point, and you can eventualy do her.
Then you work on leilana, give her andraste's flower if you haven't. Eventualy she will talk about marjolaine and her past, and you will get attacked by an assassin when you travel on the world map. Interrogate him and he will tell you marjolaine is in denerim so go there.
Find her and kill her (maybe letting her go works too). Go back to camp and talk to leilana about it. Tell her she shouldn't be some nun no more and to stick to being the assassin that she is. Don't try to change etc, you are a killer so just go with it and she will agree etc. Then just get her affection higher and eventualy you can do her too,and morrigan won't be mad at all.
Then you can take zevran with you and go talk to isabella. If you've already unlocked duelist then you can't do this oh well. But if you got zev and leilana with you, zev will greet isabella cause he knows her. Then ask her to teach you duelist. She will ask for a duel, so you say there gotta be other forms of payment etc, then tell her to talk about it privately. Lielana will jump in and say oh no you don't i'm coming along too. zev will say oh me too then, but I told him to gtfo.

Not much lag if you do this on PC. AoE does hit you on normal diff on PC though. I tried her once and got her to 1/2. You're not really supposed to kill her at this point, cause there's a prison break sequence after you get killed.

You can fight her again later though when you enter the landsmeet instead. But I never did cause didn't want to kill her. Was hoping I could do her at some point after but guess not hehe.

Basically I share the ps3 with my brother and have 2 accounts on the same ps3 so will the add on codes work for both or just 1? We both have different bioware social accounts as well if it matters.
