$40 just for an expansion? Yeah... think I'll pass. With all the sales that were going on at the time, I paid $40 for a new copy of the entire game.
I liked the game a lot, but I'm not going to get bent over for DLC and expansions.
goddamn, between mass effect, this and replaying as different races in origins, bioware seems content to have me by the balls the first few months of 2010..
It says "Retail Expansion" on that trailer website so I'm pretty sure it wont be DLC. Looks cool though, I can't wait!
looks good, but I doubt I'll pick it up in March... prolly after I beat FFXIII and GoW3 lol. They should be waiting to release it in April as February and March are so chalk full of high profile games a DA:O expac is just gonna get muddled
Return to Ostagar is "out" (read: leaked)
So I'm in the Redcliffe Castle (just about to go into the Fade to fight the demon) and practically my whole team is injured (cracked skull, bleeding, etc) and I'm out of injury kits. I don't have a dedicated healer yet (waiting for Wynne) so I'm also trying hard to not blow through my health poultices and it's gotten me killed on some occasions.
Yeah I think returning to the party camp will help you heal. Also if you want to make the difficulty more reasonable, download the patches from the site. You can also download a "Respec" mod that'll let you adjust all your talents and stats, letting you use morrigan as a healer. (I suggest you at least give her Heal). Just a warning though, some of the patches have caused problems for some people. mine is just fine though with the most recent patch, except for the issues that I've been having with loading times increasing over time which hasn't been dealt with 2 months after theing fact.
after the cakeing fact?
About the DLC
Spoiler: show
Downloaded Warden's Keep instead of Stone Prisoner. $7 for a storage box and Starfang better be worth it.
wardens keep was like 1-2hrs too? is the new gear worth it?
eh, depends on what you compare it to. Except for the dagger which I gave to my crazy bard girl, my characters generally had better gear from just playing the main game. I guess some of them could be used situationally
Edit: It's no wonder they lost the fucking battle really
