Are they planning more xpac's for the game outside awakening? I really don't see Awakening as an xpac, more like a side/new story. A lot of stuff doesn't carry over, and neither does your abilities / spells / relationships / party members.

I can dig for the article later if you'd like the source, but last I heard Bioware had two years worth of DLC planned for Dragon Age.

One of the spells I ended up using the most often on my mage was Fireball. The AoE knockdown effect+burn damage is great.

Mana Clash is awesome for casting mobs (which are usually the most annoying). Can usually one-shot most of them if you get them early (while their MP is high). I think the most damage I've done with it was around 6000ish on that slaver mage.

Couple of questions;

On my first playthrough I bought The Felon's Coat and Evon the Great's Mail from Wade's Emporium, however when I got to Denerim on my second playthrough he no longer had them in his inventory. Has anyone else found this?

For my next playthrough I'm going to go as a mage and my mage chars have always developed along similar lines each time focusing on ice (<3 cone of cold), telekenesis (<3 crushing prison) and the healing line. Are there any other decent spells etc I'm missing out on that anyone could recommend?

They unlock after you start the drake scale quest line and have completed the urn quest. It won't trigger until after that's done.

This time through my game I'm trying to romance Lelianna, but I started doing it with Morrigan trying to get both in one go. I got Morrigan and her achievement then reloaded my game but noticed after I reloaded my game it was after I had gotten Leliana. THe problem is I can't remember if I asked her about the Chantry and then proceeded to compliment her or not. If I haven't does this automatically cancel out my chances at doing the Leliana's Past quest? I'm only 4 hours in and while I don't want to start over if I don't have to, I'd rather do it sooner rather than later.

I believe if you miss either of the romance dialogue options w/ Leliana your screwed. I may be wrong but that is what I heard and the FAQ said

It would appear that the still-unnamed next project in the Dragon Age series has been given a date, as spotted by 1UP in an early retail box of Dragon Age: Origins -- Awakening for PS3. Aligning with the release window hinted at by EA hinted earlier this year during a financial call, the scarcely-detailed game will arrive on Februrary 1, 2011 -- or, in the graphic's terms, "02.01.2011."

We're not exactly sure if this is part of the two years of promised content that BioWare outlined late last year, but at very least it's an extremely early (possible) release date for more content in a critically acclaimed series. We've asked EA for more information on the date and will let you know more as soon as we do.

Did anyone play Dragon Age: Journeys online? I'm trying to get the extra items, but I'm not sure if its worth it to try to get the last one where I have to kill a golem with everyone at full health.

Well, I got it. You can make a new character and all your unlocks stick with the account. I'm going to download it, but I'm not sure its very good.

The only one I thought was worth it was War Mage Amulet and it gave it to me just by signing in to the Bioware servers on the DA:J ste so I said fuck it and never played it.

Just got the "expansion" late last night. For starters, I've picked up more fire and ice arrows from dead bodies in the first "dungeon" then I saw in the whole of the original game. So + points for that.

I'm getting a lot of feedback that it lasts about 8-20 hours depending on pacing and sidequests etc.

Alistair is such a let down in awakening. Sure he reckognized me as his queen, but what kind of kiss was that? It was just a chaste kiss on the cheek and gone. The flames sure disappeared after 6 months.
