I always make sound effects when I'm playing games. Like if I'm swinging a sword or something I'll make a noise like that, or if I'm shooting I'll go pew pew pew. Not loud or anything though

I also like...apologize to my characters if they fall or something. Like if I make someone jump off a cliff and they die or make a noise that sounds like it hurt I'll just say "sorry sorry!!" haha.

I tend to use potions and consumables a lot in RPGs. I tend to stockpile as many healing items as I can and use them when I'm getting low on HP in order to conserve magic. I usually save magic for major healing when I can't afford to use HP items because the enemy causes more damage than they heal. I tend to save stuff like Elixirs and Megalixers for boss fights but I'm not shy about using them.

The last game I played was Persona 4, so I had to use a lot of items there, especially for the first 80% of the game. Then it just got really easy, as RPGs do.

Kind of a gaming quirk I guess:

In FFXI I used to play my macro sets right to left using pad. So I'd always dock my cursor on the 0 macro rather than the 1 macro. I'm left-handed so maybe it's just my genes screaming to be heard.

I also play guitar right-handed instead of left.

I reload after every kill. Save elixers and such and never use. Also if it gets intense I tend to cross my feet iono why I do but i do.

When I'm playing a fighting game, I always breathe in before pulling off a combo.

I've tried to stop this after my friends pointed it out, but I can't.

I know there's some other people guilty of this: In fighting games I always try to save a super gauge to finish my opponent off so it looks cool. It's even worse in Guilty Gear, because I'll beat them down to a sliver of health and try to go for the destroy attack. I've lost so many matches because of this that I barely play fighting games anymore.

Forgot to mention that I'm a saver. Not only do I save seemingly every thirty minutes or something important. I often make a new save each time incase I need to go back. So in the end I have over 100 saves for the same game.

I'm HORRIBLE with saving my game. I don't know how many times I would play an RPG for 5 hours nonstop without saving once and then wipe to bullshit.

I'm having issues with FF4 remake for DS.... so many normal battles are bullshit.... "icebeast uses frost> 4/5 people oneshotted > dead > me: WTF!!"

This is my bit of gaming OCD too. I need nice, even numbers for all my consumables. Usually 10s are okay, but expensive stuff like Tents/Elixirs will be in multiples of 5.

I'm the same, though with total amounts and not how many I'm buying. If I have 7 of something I'll usually buy 3, 8, 13, etc. I also buy 99 of stuff like Potions and Hi-Potions and never end up using any of them in most games. In action games where you're given multiple weapons as you progress (such as DMC, Ninja Gaiden, etc) I'll usually end up sticking with the starter weapon for 99% of the game, only toying with anything new I get as soon as I'm given it briefly and then swapping straight back to the default weapon.

I do something kind of similar to this, but different.

I have an even amount of every item I can get. Like if I got to a shop, and I have 71 potions, I will buy one, or 9 for 72 or 80, I will do this as often as I can. I don't dump items I don't have even amounts of, but anything I can buy I make sure it's an even amount. It drives me nuts for whatever reason!

I'm an item hoarder. I will collect and save all the elixirs, mega-elixirs etc in an RPG then by the time I have completed the game I have never used one. =/ It's the same with stat boosting items too. >.<

Whenever I am playing any RPG and only have a little bit to grind and make some money to get the newest equipment I have to make sure and check/enable all new abilities, purchase all the newest armor/spells possible and equip it and resell any old stuff before I can save it and turn it off. (saving in at least 2 different spots) It doesn't matter if I am running late to leave to go somewhere I must make sure before I save that everything is up to date.

I am guilty of saving items that I know I'll never use and could easily replace, also. Sitting on 99 consumables of the buyable types? Yup.

I'm glad I'm not the only item hoarder. Shit used to bother me when I'd watch friends play a game and use consumables as fast as they got them.

Quirks? Not me, I just get the Nerd Rage when I'm losing, specially on line. I've thrown many DS's (dual shocks) around, enough for me to learn how to fix and replace parts >_> I also need to tone down w/ the cussing, however, that's just me being very passionate about my hobbies ;o

    Bump

In an mmo I like to get every quest that I can and complete it near that area so I don't have to run back and forth until I'm finished.

    Oh man, I'm everything here:

    1) Having consumables in even numbers. Normally in stacks of 10 but expensive stuff in 5s. It is so bad in fact, that if I pick up an extra one, I'll throw one away (unless its omething like an elixir or a megalixer, etc.) I used to throw away gil in FF7 to keep it even too but they took that feature out of most games now :/

    2) I 'll sort items by type. Eg: HP healing items from worst to best, MP healing items, Status items, weapons by type, etc.

    3) Guilty of the reload after every kill thing too.

    4) I only want 1 save file of my games, I try my best to only keep 1 but in certain games you need multiples and it annoys me.

    5) I'll never use consumables, ever. it is so bad in fact, that when I was playing FF4 DS I would go into battle with something really weak and have Rosa Pray everyone to full health a lot, lol.

    6) Jump/roll/slide/whatever to move instead of walking.

    7) I'll go get every item no matter what. Example: If you have a weapon and then you get a better weapon, then later on you find out that you skipped a step in between (if it was a questable weapon and you missed it, or whatever) I'll go back and get the worse weapon just to complete my collection.

    8) If I'm getting nervous I'll sit in a way similar to L except without lifting my ass up, lol.

    Good times

I involuntarily jerk the mouse/analog stick whenever I shoot a sniper rifle (the only games I seem to be immune to doing this in are the Resistance games, with the easy modo Fareye). It's really annoying and makes me miss a lot of easy shots.

I lay out plans to get as many quests/achievements/whatever done in one trip/playthrough/whatever.

Also, I tend to look up if a game has any missables, and memorize where they are before I start playing. looking at you, zodiac spear

I printed out like 15 different guides for Last Remnant for specifically this reason. Fk that game was annoying about not letting you go back for stuff.

I usually never use items outside of the first few levels before healers start getting good healing magic. I do the same thing with ethers/elixirs as people were talking about earlier, holding onto them for endgame and then never really using them.

I always make sure that I keep 1 of each weapon/armor/accessory, even if it means grinding for more cash or having a lot of extra shit that I never use. That's probably why I have problems with games that limit your inventory or only allow you to get one item at the expense of others (fucking excalibur II).
