I feel this is important enough to quote.

I had my doubts about Up, but since it seems to be getting such overwhelming positive reviews, I will definitely go see it in the next week or two.

My theater pulls the same BS. I went to see Bolt in 3d when it came out and a friend of mine was able to use my glasses to go see Bloody Valentine 3d, but then when I went to Monster's versus Aliens they wouldn't let us use them again. Originally I kept the glasses under the assumption that I paid for them, I'm going to keep them, but after awhile I decided that I'd have no where to really keep them and I feel bad about throwing them away.

Really loved Up, but the 3d is pretty lame for it I thought. I was really excited at first because I've been impressed by 3d so far, but this movie just didn't really seem to benefit from it that much. It definitely tugged at my heart strings, and there were a few times where my 5 year old daughter needed things explained to her and I had to compose myself so I could tell her without choking up. Definitely have recommended up to everyone I know, regardless if they have kids or not.

The 3D isn't supposed to pop out. It's just supposed to make the back of the screen look like it extends backwards. It's like a diorama compared to a picture book

Saw it last night. I really didn't know anything about the story aside from the balloon and house thing so it was cool to see how the adventure played out. I would say 2/3 of wall-e level so it was still really good. The bird and dog added some really good comedy elements to it.

I don't get why everybody rides Wall-E's proverbial dick so much.. sure it's probably one of the best animated movies made in recent years, but all Pixar movies are. I really liked the first silent half of it and the EVE/Wall-E relationship in its entirety but I felt for the message that the movie was trying to send it was a little too optimistic of an ending for humanity.

Even more reason it shouldn't have been that optimistic. Little kids should know that there likely won't be a happy ending for them if they don't get their parents to change shit drastically in the next 10-15 years.

Conveying realistic human style emotion and feelings barely using any dialog in an animated film like that was extremely impressive to me. The animation was also top of it's class at the time, which wasn't a surprise. Environmental message aside, it was a very well done movie, and I had not been impressed by any animated film like that, Pixar stuff included, for a long time.

Plus, you know, I loved Short Circuit and Batteries Not Included as a kid. >_>

Great movie, really touching moments. Awesome date movie with someone you care for or wife/mistress.

I didn't see destroying the planet to the point of being forced to leave and only having about .01% of the population return as a 'happy ending'. It showed that we're seriously fucked if we don't do something about it. If anything I almost thought the film was too preachy as opposed to too optimistic.

Either way, after reading this I seriously need to see Up this weekend. We never felt up to going last weekend.

I really thought that this movie looked terrible, based on the previews. Pixar is awesome, though, so it's most likely incredible.

That's the thing about this movie, you really can't tell what the plot is to someone or else it just won't be as moving. Which is why they think they did the trailer the way they did. I thought the same thing, but still though "it's pixar, it will be good," and...I was right!

My favorite part of the movie was when Russel was crying about how tired he was and then he said "My elbows hurt!" I just was laughing so hard. Also, the short before the movie was so stinking adorable. I loved Up, would see again many many many times.

What was the short? I streamed it so I didn't see it.

That short is called "Partly Cloudy" and it was indeed fantastic.

UP is quality. Seriously go see it. If you don't have your emotions tugging at you from several directions during the first 10 minutes you have no heart.

The movie as a whole hits on so many different themes as well. Many touching moments as well as some great humor, making it extremely well balanced. Everything was just done so well, movie really floored me, but then again, I donno why I keep letting Pixar surprise me, they do this all the time lol.

I cried like a pre teen girl during this movie. I honestly regretted watching it after it was over. Good movie though if you enjoy feeling like crap.
