Issue with FFXI Overlay Resolution

Looking for some help...my g/f just got a new PC, it was one that was built by her friend, I don't have the specs but I could get if it was really neccesary, but my issue is this:

Every time I fire up the game (using Windower 3.1, haven't tried without it) it forces the game into a 1280x768 overlay. Regardless of where I try to adjust the settings(I've tried the registry itself, FFXI Config, and Windower GUI) to change it to 1280x1024 it always changes itself back to 1280x768 once I fire up the game. I've never seen it do anything like this before on my laptop, any ideas as to what's making it do this?

Out of curiosity, do you have "True Fullscreen" checked in settings? I'm pretty sure it forces you to use an overlay of whatever your desktop resolution is set to if you have that checked.

No, I tried it both with and without and it didn't change anything. The Windower GUI still shows that it's using the settings I specify, but for some reason FFXI Config and the registry keep reverting back after I change them. I made sure her config settings were all normal, like not having S-E windower on and whatnot.

Fixed it, there was 2 profiles on the Windower GUI, 'config' and 'standard', I was on the 'config' one and the standard was the one forcing it.
