I spent 2 hours on the 12th alfheim challenge and left.

Ended up gaining 20,000 halos from retrying. I don't know why I can handle claw enemies easily except for that challenge

I spent alittle over 2 hours on it too. When I finally got off all 5 torture attacks without screwing up ending with the last claw enemy 2 more enemies poped up and I realized I had to kill them to end it. Lost that run and just gave up.

When it comes down to the transforming/dodging thing I think I had a ton of practice getting it right within those 2 hours but it still tends to screw me over quite abit. Usually against the claw enemies but honestly I'm taking more hits from normal enemies now because of it too. My platinum/gold streak is over lol All it takes is one transformation to get me caught in an enemy combo that rapes half my life.

I think the monsters with the extending claws are the hardest in the game. Especially the ones you can't activate witch time on.

The gold ones? That fight was a mess.

And i also really like the design on the enemies. The bosses are especially detailed. They really did a good job on them.

If you have too many problems, just turn the transformations off during battle in the menus.

I'm actually doing better now. Back to golds and platinums, however earlier I was looking to turn off the panther transformation and didn't see the option to do it anywhere. I know you can turn off all the abilities you buy but thats all I saw.

So I got an Umbran Elegance #01, how exactly do I use it?

I couldn't live without the panther transformation because I use it for hit and run tactics. Also the mobs you can't use witch time on fucking suck.

Just finished the game, I ended up with mixed medals(not 1 stone at least, mostly silver and gold with a few platinum mixed in) and since I have no desire for trophies, I doubt I'll play through it again. I enjoyed the combat which is what its built around, but man that story is all over the fuckin place.

Love the game so far. It's so over the top, I can't help but laugh. I just got to the driving level though, seems like a huge waste of a level :/ Really too long and repetitive.

Something i'm not clear about in the plot

I get that balder is her father, and he brought her younger version to make her remember her past, and it seems jeanne is the one who sealed bayonetta away, which also made her lose her memories, and jeanne was under some form of mind control. Cool, we got that so far, but was Balder human or an angel? I think Sapientia had implied that he was human, but if that is so, then does this mean the lumen sages are like the witches? As in, they make pacts with angels, like the witches make pacts with demons? I think i also heard that balder was the last sage left. As for Jubileus, was that really the "creator"? It seemed awfully much like a pushover for the God of all creation, so was she incomplete or something? Only balder was inside the eye when she awoke, and bayonetta was outside. Actually, i don't even recall ever seeing the right eye, and jeanne had the left eye.
