Serious AV attempt by JPs on Midgard

Looks like it just poped, everyone just got wiped by meteor they all RRed and waiting on weakness currently sacking. They have over 100+ in the zone. Its a team up of two JP LSes, also one of the LSs took it down to 60% before by themselves. Will keep updating and will also Fraps it.


They had an extra ally waiting around just incase this one wiped now the second ally is fighting it and put a small dent in it @99%.

Second and third ally just wiped to Manafont, I dont see them trying to lock out its 2 hour but I may not seeing in my log cuz i am standing far away I already died three times lol

They keep wiping to manafont, no one is trying to lock it out, they were spamming tier I blm magic corresponding to the vana day but I dont know why they did that.

how long has it been so far? does it de-spawn after 2 hours?

It has no pets up, this entire time ive been here. I am not sure what they did with the pets.

One of their members just told me they have 30 min left. This is not going to happen unless they pull a miracle.

Looks like a Nirvana&PhantomBrigade team up with with over 80~ people(2 "team up linkshells", since a linkshell can only have up to 64 people). They seem to have timed the run according to besieged(8 attacking), keep warping back and popping revitalizers.

Trying out ways to lock it moves I suppose.

The entire time I've been here they only tried locking Invincible, they haven't done anything with manafont, chainspell, hundred fists, and sam 2 hour (which i cant spell) etc..

That revitalizer idea is pretty brilliant. If not for winning then at least for figuring something out.

On a sad note, guess thats the end of revitalizers in beseiged in SE's next patch.

Manafont/Chainspell/Hundred Fist takes 2 out of their 3 tanks, obviously the main issue.

EDIT: Tornado II oneshotted the last PLD it looks like lol

EDIT: They aren't doing a single bit of damage. I don't know if they are just testing tanking techniques or trying to win.

This looks more of a "trial" run than a real attempt. Even Miyuu is here(PB leader, hardly logs on anymore).

They tried to lock Meikyo with Soul Voice and BEnediction, it didn't work. Also, haven't seen a signle Wynav so far.

I've been watching them fight almost since they started. About 20 minutes left now. Edit: ~3 minutes.

It seems their strategy is to closely mimic the dev team AV videos from a while back. They managed to lock Call Wyvern, Soul Voice, and most of the other 2hrs except for the ones already mentioned. They've tried several times to lock Manafont/Chainspell with no luck. Manafont+Meteor has wiped their ally several times already, I guess they didn't think of trying to Shadowbind it or something? I guess it's not that big a deal since they have like 2 backup alliances.

They also have a sacrificial BLM ally which they sent in to spam Water I until wipe, but in the 2 or 3 rounds of this that I saw, didn't break AV's regen at all. Which makes me wonder if the theory about element/day magic lowering AV's max HP instead of its regen is true. Or it could be a lottery, where any nuke of the proper element has a tiny chance to break its regen completely.

Unfortunately, they haven't made any serious attempt to damage it at all, they must've thought that breaking regen had to come before any damage.

Sorry BG, I don't think there is any new info to be gleaned from this attempt.

Yeah, there isn't much to see unfortunately other than their failed attempts of locking 2hrs.

They tried to lock Manafont with Chainspell multiple times, didn't work. Wynavs were being handled rather well(not sure how, kited somewhere away or simply locked call wyvern). They also seemed to have a couple of COR's(mules without sea access or simply for convenience) at crags so that they could tele-holla > Wild Card > get back to sea(while COR mules warp back Al Zahbi and pop revits?) Their 2-hour cycle was very efficient.

They did have a serious manpower and looks like they are going to give it another go sometime soon, again, probably going to wait for a good time(besieged, weekend, etc.)

For those not familiar with Midgard, those are pretty much the top two JP HNM shells on our server. Their achievements in game and out of game are amazing. PB members are required to have designated meetings in Japan each month, which shows how much dedication and trust they have with one another.

So unlike some NA Endgame players that act like complete dicks because they're anonymous, these guys show another level of class in endgame. Which I'm pretty sure a lot of you can agree, we have a lot of pricks in our endgame community.
