I hated the first one so 2nd doesnt excite me. No gameplay footage = fail.

Alright nintendo starts early then sony right after tomorrow time to kill some people over this rage inducing start of e3. Oh and gamespot will be doing on floor demos tomorrow after sony's conference just like last year so be sure to watch that will be happening until e3 closes.
Bleh, no sign of Jade Raymond's fine ass.
So, that's all the press conferences for today right?
Is there any way to record video streams? My G4 is fucking broke, my cable company tells me that it's a line issue (out of 1000+ channels, only G4 doesn't work, I'm sure it's a line issue) and can't get to it til next week. I'm fairly sure they just have incompetent tech support.
Microsoft Press Conference - E3 09 Live Video Game Demos at GameSpot
Microsoft Conference finally up for viewing, the Natal looks pretty sick if it delivers what it's promising. The idea of controlling the menus with your hands and stuff seems really neat and the recognition of individuals is amazing.
2 and a half hours till we get to see what nintendo is coming up with. What are you all expecting?
Cross-platform Zelda?![]()
Honestly it just looks very gimmicky and the novelty of it will wear off fast, just like the EyeToy. As you could see when the guy was demoing it and his avatar started wigging out and glitching all over the place, it's gonna be prone to fuck ups like that. Most hardcore gamers (which Xbox/PS3 usually attract) don't want to be standing up flailing their shit about to play a game. The only thing I found neat with it was navigating the menu's with your hands, that was pretty cool.
tl;dr: casual bullshit
I don't buy this Natal gimmick. There's no way it will be as dynamic as they show it to be. Voice recognition alone is difficult let alone "scanning", and facial and full body recognition. Sony tried to sell their little add-on webcam similar to this before and it was a flop. You had to light your room up like a Hollywood studio to get the facial recognition to work at all, so I'll believe it when I see it.
Not to mention my idea of fun simply is not flopping around like Wayne bloody Brady doing an improv skit on Whose Line.
Nintendo will be great if it's anything like last time.
Think aobut it, last time they tell the Hardcore fans to piss off, this year they tell the Casuals to piss off and they can go back to making card games.
Those have wiggle-waggle out the box too!
Wow, just finished watching the Xbox 360 press conference, and Natal actually seems really interesting. When they first started to talk about it, it seemed pretty gimmicky, but the demos for it changed my mind pretty quickly. I'm really curious how that will be used in future games, since I assume nothing will use it for a while.
Not really sure how Sony and Nintendo can top that. Last year, I was really disappointed with them. =/
Any idea if Valve is giving a presentation at all this E3?
Nintendo should just license out their Zelda, Metroid, and Mario franchises so they can be developed for PS3 and 360 and give hardcore gamers what they want while simultaneously making a boatload of money on franchise/license fees.
