Rumor: Qore Lets Slip the First Look at PSP Go

GamersConsoleNetwork scored a big scoop this morning, pulling the first images of the PSP Go (running LittleBigPlanet) out of the latest edition of Qore, which apparently went live early.

On top of that, someone managed to film the video and place it on YouTube. That's below (bad audio)

In the video:

• Grand Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, Jak & Daxter and Metal Gear are all either confirmed or mentioned.
• The Go's 16 gigs of flash memory and bluetooth support ("You can also tether it to your cell phone,") are touted.
• PSP Go will not replace the PSP-3000; the 3000 will still be kept on the market.

So, there's your garden-variety pre-E3 leak/rumor/big splash. Just the facts for now. Thanks to the dozens of tipsters who saw this and alerted us.

Well looks like one of Sony's E3 bombshells is out of the closet, that and at least one of the Metal Gear ones as well.

I agree the name is lame. Anyone notice the resemblance to that rumored PSP2 though? Wish i had an image of it, i actually liked that PSP2 look better >.> But hey, they'll probably upgrade the Go anyway and change its look.

The idea of renting games from the PSN sounds hit or miss to me. It could either be a major money getter if the price for renting is relatively low for the time(PSP games only cost so much anyway, so renting them online needs to be pretty low to make it worthwhile) or it could be dumb if its too much

My only gripe is that they didn't add a second analogue stick, was really hoping it would have one.

Anyway, I fully support the digital direction, as I hated UMD's. Being able to carry around your games on tiny memory sticks is how it should have always been (which is what CFW does already). It's supposed to be a portable device, don't want to have to carry around a bag with all my games in.

I also like the fact that they are still going to sell copies in stores (case comes with manual etc, you just have a download code instead of UMD). People moaning about not being able to go online to download the games should get with the times and either get a wireless connection or use a free hot-spot.

It's still pretty much identical to the current run of PSPs in terms of hardware specs, albeit minus a UMD drive.

Main thing that bugs me about it is that the wrist-band hole physically comes out from the otherwise rounded side, that's going to bug my left hand.

Its too bad that wasn't the actual design, that looks pretty damn sexy.

Not too terribly impressed by the PSP Go! design, but its not awful either. The features sound like a huge step in the right direction too, dropping the UMDs in favor of a pure digital distribution.

Looking forward to the official announcement and the game lineup when E3 kicks off this week.

Tempted to wait a year before deciding whether or not to purchase a new PSP to mod to replace my current dead one.

If someone manages to crack it and get a CFW going on it, I'm sold. A larger screen and 16gb of flash memory is much better than the dinky 4gb card I had going on mine.

Definitely buying once it's hacked, the main thing that I hate about my psp is that it's really heavy and hurts my arms, and the sound comes from the bottom.

You've never handled a PSP Slim then, as it fixes the two issues you've mentioned with yours.

It might be worth getting if someone manages to crack it but seeing as no one has even managed that with the 3000 I don't foresee myself buying one of these.

If it had two analog sticks it would be worth buying, period.
