the 3000 is 200 bucks too
To be honest, if the Gran Turismo will indeed be an unscaled, "full" version I'd buy the thing. Just like Castlevania's for DS, shit has literally endless gameplay for me. I won't grow tired of it.
I'm really tempted just to wait for the PSP Go! to get CFW at this point rather than plunk down some cash for a shiny new Slim now that every version of them have been rendered moddable just the other day.
Just....that screen is so damn nice. No words on a release date i assume still?
I thought it was listed as October 1st release date.
At least that's what it says on Wikipedia. Could be just a stab in the dark though: PlayStation Portable Go - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Are retailers taking pre-orders for these yet? Is Oct 1 a firm release date?
I got a $100 gift card from work as a reward to some generic online websites, so I started looking for a PSP, which there are none, but one of the websites is apparently taking preorders for a PSP go...so I figure if I can get one for $150 out of pocket instead of $250 I might as well go for it.
What do you think?
It won't be hackable for a while, which is half the appeal of a PSP, but $150 out of pocket would be a nice price for it. If you have nothing else you want to buy I would say go for it, I love my PSP.
This is a gift card which is sort of a blanket one...where it's good at like 100 different retailers, but the thing is most of the stuff is all full MSRP at generic websites. Haha.
edit: couldn't find anything else so i pre-ordered the go. The total was $152 out of pocket. Not a bad deal.
NECRO TIME!
Good luck buying one in Spain or the Netherlands
Biggest Dutch retailer boycotts PSPgo News | PSP | Eurogamer
It's understandable. Sony should lower the price by 50 bucks if they want this thing to sell, but if they do that they are screwing retailers on the margin. It's probably jacked up that high since retailers won't be making any money off of the digital downloads.
I'm real interested in seeing what Sony can come up with for their "good-will program" concerning UMDs vs. DD.
I got a Go! because I had some free money that wasn't good to use on anything else and because I didn't previously have a PSP so no UMDs to worry about. However, I am worried about getting raped on fees on PSN when you can find PSP UMDs for cheap via resale or closeout deals in retail stores.
Sony is really dropping the ball with this one. Doesn't seem ilke they're supporting this system at all.
seems like they're just attempting to cash in on the iphone/mp3 player crowd who won't carry a psp simply because it's too big to be their primary PMP. Sometimes I don't get sony, this pretty much falls in the same category as minidiscs, laser discs, and watchmen for me.
