[Affected Services]
FINAL FANTASY XI
[Important Update Details]
- In the Mog Tablet quest, there was an issue that caused the third Super Kupower to be displayed as " " and have no effects. This has been resolved.
* Note that this will occur when the next set of Super Kupowers go into effect.
- When using the "World Transfer Service," there were times when the items "Linkshell," "Pearlsack," and "Linkpearl" were not broken. This has been resolved.
- An issue where gil could be obtained using an improper method has been resolved.
Speculation aside, http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/72586...t-gimmick.html probably was to fix the long ridden RMT exploit?
R0 problem still exists.
Was totally worth bringing the server down though.
The R0 thing needs to be addressed, it's quite annoying when I'm trying to do shit.
Red dotting when I'm trying to synth beads or Triumph earrings is fail. I logged back in and realized I broke my earring synth![]()
*whew*

From what I've been hearing, the Kupo Powers were causing gil to drop from non beastmen mobs.
If it's not people's individual connections, how do you explain all the people that haven't had any R0 issues the past few days? Sure, a lot of people R0 at once, but if it were a server issue, everyone would have, not just some. At a Khimaira the other day, half the alliance R0ed at the same time... but that also means half the alliance did not (myself included).
If I remember right, the DDoS attacks didn't necessarily DC everyone either. So I guess that was caused by people's individual connections?

Can anyone else confirm/deny this?
er.. wtf..?- An issue where gil could be obtained using an improper method has been resolved.
we need an explanation of what an "improper" way to obtain gil is,
If its not a server problem, how do you explain the dozen of people in my LS all DCing at the exact same time when some are from US, some from Singapore, and some from Australia? Not to mention we were all in completely unrelated zones (me in Jeuno, some in Whitegate, others in WoTG XP pt).
And how do you explain the ones that didn't DC?
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a satisfactory explanation for it. You could argue it's the servers because so many R0 at once, but then you can also argue it can't be the servers because of the ones who didn't.
One argument isn't any more sound than the other. Maybe something happened with a hub somewhere on the internet between SE and the affected players. Hard to say. But it obviously can't be just the SE servers, or just the players' connections.
