FoV casket question

I was exp'ing on my Thf/Bst in sky today and got one of the brown caskets. I was able to open it and it had a tarutaru sash and an orichalcum ore, and when I chose the ore it said "you were unable to obtain the item" Wtf is up with that? lol I've opened them b4 and have gotten the item...so what gives?

only thing that's caused that to happen to me is full inventory.

Full inventory or a party member hijacked the item before you could (but in that case you would see in chat log that "xxx obtains orichalcum ore"). Also, you can take all the items from brown caskets after you unlock them, don't need to just choose one.

Oh, and I found out that if your idiot NPC casts magic on you while you're examining the lock so you get the "Event skipped." message that eats up one of your chances to examine the lock wheter you got the hint or not. Don't know if same were possible to happen with items but you can't have NPCs in Sky so can't be your problem.

Well I didn't have full inventory, and I wasnt in a party. It just wouldn't let me take the item, and despawned

Was it in the middle of despawning when you selected the ore? That would probably do it.
