I'm probably just shit at searching, but I cant find anything solid about this anywhere, and it's driving me nuts. So dumb question inc:
For the AM II merits; does the macc increase only apply for MB, or for non-MB nukes as well?

The accuracy bonus applies to each cast in general, its only the M.Attk bonus that applies to MB only.
Thx, I thought so. Just bugged me that I couldnt find it written anywhere lol.
Yeah, I can understand why you questioned it, the description of the merit is, like alot of SE stuff, vague and confusing.![]()
The devs just love jerking us around =/
+25 MACC for Freeze and Burst II is sexy as hell.
When just unlocked, AM2 seem to have less m.acc than T4 nukes.
Actually I noticed that casting T1 or T2 nukes with the same setup I cast T4 leads to way a lot more resists.
Maybe it's just me but I could swear that different tiers of spells have different base magic accuracy levels.
It's not just you, and there's even old patch notes info that supports that belief, JPButton Update History - 2002
As for AM2, it's been a long time since I was Lv1 AM2 but that was my general (unverified, unscientific) impression of them, too, that they had less inherent accuracy than tier 4 spells.Originally Posted by 12/19/2002 Update Notes Translation
wow im also looking for answer to this as well
is it confirmed and tested that magic acc apply to non MB AM2 as well?
No tests are required. Just unlock an AMII and go see for yourself. The initial accuracy is obviously less reliable than a Tier IV.
Related and interesting: Ancient Magic II has Lower Base Magic Accuracy?.
I really thought kaeko posted a JP study on this somewhere in his blog awhile back
edit: ah ya posted right above me
